She should.

Since when is it illegal to inform kids who is the POTUS?

Hope they never see our Chain of Command boards or we are all in trouble.

small point here, "Take your stuff and get out" sure sounds like being fired to me. Hell of a good use of taxpayers dollars, spending time fighting over that. Back to home schooling here, which includes working to pay the property taxes to support the public school system and then footing the bill personally on all costs of what we do.

::Shakes Head:::

I went to a "liberal" high school, they sure as hell didn't complain when our Global Studies teachers hung up pictures of Bill Clinton. One teacher had that picture of Clinton shaking JFK's hand blown up and taking up half a wall, it was put up two weeks before the `96 Clinton-Dole election.

To top it off, a week before the election she spent a two hour block of instruction trying to "inspire" us to think about how we can help those "not as fortunate" as us here in this country and the rest of the world; to be open minded like Clinton. `Cause if a boy from ARK can be President, so can one of you!

Can your teacher be fired by management for displaying a picture of the current POTUS?

Here's what I find most disturbing about this whole thing:

If a teacher is accused of child molestation... the union will back them up.
If a teacher is accused of selling or using drugs... the union will back them up.
If a teacher is accused of faking their credentials... the union will back them up.
If a teacher is accused of robbing banks on the side... the union will back them up.

Why isn't the union backing her up?

She said she's not in the union, didn't fill out the paperwork when she moved or something.

She said she's not in the union, didn't fill out the paperwork when she moved or something.

Nope, she pays union dues. She has no choice, so they are obligated to extend her the same rights and priviledges of a union member. She is a default union member if she works in the system. It's in the CBA between the union and the city.
