View Full Version : Second half of the season 2011/2012
WOW !!!!!
Quite a few good series happening out there.
Red Wings (suck) .... gone in the 1st round.
Penguins ..... gone.
Blackhawks ... have their backs up against the ropes, but every game they've played with the Coyotes has gone to OT.
Now the Kings knock off the Presidents' Trophy winning Canucks.
This year is turning out to be one hell of a run for the CUP.
I now yield my time to the counselor from SoCal ...... R.L. , the thread is yours. :D

The year of the upset...but still pullin' for the B's to take out the Caps in game 7 this coming Wednesday. Always tough to repeat as champs - but the team effort is there.
Game 6 on Sunday was a barnburner in case you missed it. A budding star named Seguin lifted the Bruins in OT.
You almost always get your money's worth in playoff hockey action and effort.
Go B's !

Have to stick with the New England teams....
The series has pretty much been an endurance event. 3 games decided in OT, one of which went double OT. The boys gotta be banged up. (They don't have a week between games like some "other" sports)

Sorry guys.
Blackhawks out? Penguins out? The (God's gift to earth) Red Wings may be out... but all things considered... :D
Finally the Phoenix Jets win a series... first since 1987. Was starting to feel bad for Shane Doan.

GO FLYERS!
Two more game 7's televised tonight.
I've licked my wounds from The B's overtime loss last night and will enjoy the other NHL action - just not quite as much. :D
Second round series are looking good as well as the first rounds.
It's Play Off Hockey, Baby !!!!! :D
I'm going to go out on a limb and say, that in the East, the winner of the Philly/NJ series will make it to the finals, and in the West .... Phoenix and L.A. will end up duking it out for the chance to go on and face either Philly or NJ in the finals.

For you CAPITALS fans, (or fans of dogs for that matter), looks as if Capitals defenseman, Karl Alzner's dogs, didn't like the Caps loss to the Devils in triple overtime the other night either. :D

I love the looks on the dogs faces. :D :D :D

I hope you have your snorkel on cause it just got deeper in your end of the pool. :D
WHOA !!!!!!!
When did the Kings learn to play hockey ????
They were underachievers for most of the regular season, barely make it into the playoffs and then BAM ..... they flip a switch and turn into a real hockey team.
Amazing.
WHOA .... The Kings ?!?!?!
Well, congrats to them for making it to the big dance. I'm sure they'll have a nice long rest, seeing that the NY/NJ series will probably go 7 games.
:munchin
Well, the stage is set.
NJ knocks off the Rangers in 6, to head for the Cup finals.
This Cup final should be interesting (and fun to watch), between L.A. and NJ. Brodeur, the seasoned veteran against Quick, who has just impressed the hell outta me with his play.
Right now, I can't say who's going to hoist Lord Stanley's hardware. But I will say, it'll be a six, possibly seven game series.

The Kings are TOAST!
You're just tring to piss off RL, right? :D
I see the Kings taking it in 6.
Good for them - it's been hard to be a hockey fan in Cali for quite a while.
Go Kings! I'm not really a big fan of LA sports teams, but I absolutely cannot stand any team from New Jersey. :D
WOW !!!!
For L.A. to take the first two in N.J. ....... The Devils have got a lot of work ahead of them, if they want to make this even close to a series.
