Militants launch attacks on Afghanistan capital, Kabul

http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/world-asia-17719956

"Militants are carrying out what appear to be co-ordinated attacks on the Afghan capital Kabul.

Multiple blasts and gunfire have been heard in the central district, home to a number of international embassies.

There have also been blasts near the parliament building in the west of the capital, where security forces are said to be fighting at least six militants..............."

Hard to get a feel of the size of the assault based on early news reports.

Y'all be careful over there.

The international peacekeeping force (Isaf) said Afghan forces had taken the lead in repelling the attacks in Kabul, and had proven themelves to be "highly effective".

Just love reading these statements. I would hope that Afghan security Forces could do something in the Capitol of Kabul.

Add these attacks to the prison break of 400+ prisoners(20 reported to be dangerous hi-priority targets) in Bannu and this makes for an interesting spring in the border regions

I'm out on the border and it's heating up, a FOB out here just took some severe damage and WIA and others were hit too. Who knows if it was one time deal or not but we're ready.
