That damn kryptonite strikes again.
Ironic - "No Tolerance" for those "Tolerance Zones"...maybe they shoulda submitted a 4187 for an exception to policy... ;)
Kinda puts to rest those rumors that neutering is a requirement for SS PSD duty...

Dumbasses. . Media staying in the same hotel? Dumbasses.

All 12 of they better hope that none of their "dates " were way underage or they will not even get a TSA job at some airport gate in North Dakota. I guess jail time might also be possible if the Secret Service is willing to bring this really public.
I seen many a Gringo lose their mind in Colombia.

From ABC News Online:
" A senior administration official briefed on the accusations against the Secret Service agents pulled from duty in Colombia tells ABC News that a heated argument between at least one of the alleged prostitutes and at least one of the Secret Service agents first alerted authorities of the Hotel Caribe in Cartagena to the cavorting between Secret Service agents and prostitutes.
The argument was a dispute over the bill for services rendered, the administration official said.
Hotel Caribe authorities went to investigate the ruckus and learned that there had been some activity between Secret Service agents and prostitutes, the senior administration official said.
Hotel authorities then went down to the reception desk to see who else of the American guests may have signed in female guests - call girls - for the evening.
Initially, this official said, that inspection led the hotel authorities to have questions about 22 Americans - 17 Secret Service agents and five special operations soldiers who were there to assist the Secret Service. Their names were reported to the lead U.S. military official on the ground.
That is not to say that all 22 men had hired prostitutes, the administration official underlined. Some of those about whom the hotel raised questions may merely have been attending a party and violating curfew. Eleven Secret Service agents have been sent back to the United States. The five U.S. special forces members remain in Colombia, per the request of the Secret Service.
The State Department says that adult prostitution is legal in designated "tolerance zones" in Colombia, though restricting the sex trade to those zones has been difficult. "Sexual tourism" is reportedly widespread in Cartagena and other coastal cities.

(b)(2) Patronizing a prostitute.
(a) That the accused had sexual intercourse with another person not
the accused’s spouse;
(b) That the accused compelled, induced, enticed, or procured such person
to engage in an act of sexual intercourse in exchange for money or other
compensation; and
(c) That this act was wrongful; and
(d) That, under the circumstances, the conduct of the accused was to
the prejudice of good order and discipline in the armed forces or was
of a nature to bring discredit upon the armed forces.
OK JAGs, when is the act "wrongful"? Is it wrongful when legal under local law?
. . . and "(d)" presumably is determined with 20/20 hindsight, right?
So one jack ass screwed it up for everyone.

I stayed at the Hotel Caribe during my traveling bachelor party 14 years ago and my future brother-in-law had made the reservations from in country. My brother-in law is Colombian so when he made the reservations the staff at the hotel assumed we were going to be Colombians. However, when myself and 3 of my gringo buddies showed up to check-in, we caused slight confusion because the staff upon realizing that we were gringos, had to change our room reservations from the "family" side to the "non-family" side of the hotel. The staff at this hotel expects unaccompanied men to engage in certain behaviors and thus they take precautions and that’s why it’s surprising to me that this incident was allowed to get out of hand and is demonstrative of the pure incompetence on the part of the senior and supervisory staff for both the SS and DOD personnel. This issue with the business women could have been handled in a discrete way and in I’m certain the staff of the hotel would have assisted in resolving it in that manner; however, I suspect the SS and DOD had two too many aquadienties and cervezas and as a result discretion was no longer an option and the press became involved.
......and that’s why it’s surprising to me that this incident was allowed to get out of hand and is demonstrative of the pure incompetence on the part of the senior and supervisory staff for both the SS and DOD personnel........
I wished I had posted the link but I was reading an article yesterday that was talking about other than the instigating $47 dust up the rest was pure political based on slights given and taken between the US and Colombia leaders in the weeks leading up to the meetings.
Oh, the story also included Intelligence Units from Israel and their activities with the local girls.

I don't know about the validity of those reports, but, what I do know is “Big Boy Rules” always apply regardless of your situation or location. Essentially that means if you're going to allow folks to party than you need to ensure you have designated partiers which means you have at least 1 or 2 folks who remain sober and who manage these types of situations. I don’t want to knock the entire SS culture or abilities but if they didn’t have a contingency for dealing with this type of situation from escalating to this point then the POTUS might want to reconsider his security arrangements. But hey, you do realize thats why its known as "Loco Colombia.":D
BTW: the biggest lesson here is NEVER, EVER try to cheat a Colombian, especially a Colombiana, you'll not only loose, but, you'll end up looking like a fool on the front page of every paper in the world, you'll end up getting fired from your job, you'll end up getting divorced or breaking up from your girlfriend and life will no longer be the same. Being I'm married to a Colombiana, I know these things and these words are verdad!
Are we sure that these S.S. fellas weren't on Slick Willy's detail ????
So - re that pic - what are "prostitues" - a pair of call girls? And what do "prostitues" from South Carolina have to do with this thread about Colombian rentahoohoos? ;) :D

It's Bill's southern drawl. :D
Also to complete my thought on the biggest lesson learned: "you'll end up being investigated by congress for incompetenece and ethical or moral lapses. I have to say thats about as low as you can possibly go....
Just another constant in this government I can no longer have faith in.
This is all political bullshit, IMHO. Doesn't make it right, because it's not, but if anyone for an INSTANT believes this is the first time this type of thing has happened (in any administration) someone is living under a very large rock in a very deep hole.
And by the way, if one of these guys with the prostitutes was my husband, the VERY LAST thing he would have to worry about is the inquiry, because I would have cut off his pee pee and served it to him for dinner.
We all make mistakes, and I will be the first to say that I would not divorce my husband over a one night stand, but when he puts my health at risk by sleeping with a renta-hooha, in a country that is not known for it's cleanliness ;), he will never again have to wonder if he can give me something.

I don't know...
http://abcnews.go.com/blogs/politics/2012/04/exclusive-secret-service-bragged-about-protecting-obama-while-partying-at-colombian-brothel/
CARTAGENA, Colombia — ABC News has learned exclusively that the Secret Service officials accused of misconduct in Colombia revealed their identities by boasting at a Cartagena brothel that they worked for President Obama.
Partying at the “Pley Club” eleven members of the president’s advance team allegedly bragged “we work for Obama” and “we’re here to protect him.”
The officials spent the night throwing back expensive whiskey and enlisting the services of the club’s prostitutes, according to a bouncer at the club and a police source.
Sources tell ABC News several of the men agreed to pay for, and received, services from the “highest category” prostitutes available at the club, who charge upwards of $200.
The men paid for the sexual services in advance but when it came time to settle the bill, there was a dispute over the charges.
The group became belligerent and the police were called. The argument between the officials and the bouncers from the club escalated and ultimately spilled onto the street, according to several eye witness accounts.
The police have since been directed by U.S. authorities not to comment on that night or the scandal surrounding the Secret Service, according to a senior police official in Cartagena.
Prostitution is legal in Colombia and the women who work at the Pley Club live on the premises.
The club, located on a dusty street in the industrial Bosque neighborhood, just blocks from the port, has a rough exterior but boasts plush “pley rooms” inside.
The Pley Club is a well-known brothel in this historic city. Some taxi drivers in the resort-town are paid a commission for recommending the club and its prostitutes to tourists.
Fresh questions have emerged surrounding the number of U.S. officials involved in the controversy and the scope of their misconduct.
Senator Susan Collins, R-Maine, was briefed by the Secret Service for roughly 30 minutes Monday night about the men’s behavior.
Collins later said she was informed that there were about 11 agents involved in the misconduct in Colombia, and “twenty or twenty-one women foreign nationals” were brought to the Hotel Caribe, where the Americans were staying.
Like the police, the staff at the hotel have been instructed by their management not to comment on the men’s behavior. Workers at the hotel tell ABC News they have been told to say they were “off,” “on vacation,” or “working a different shift” when asked about what went on at the hotel.
The members of the Secret Service team, who were in Cartagena on assignment ahead of the president’s visit for the Summit of the Americas, were relieved of their duties and sent home last Friday, the same day Obama arrived.
In addition to the officials being investigated by the Secret Service, the Pentagon said Monday it was investigating as many of 20 members of the military who may have been involved in the partying as well.
The controversy surrounding the officials’ misconduct overshadowed the summit last weekend and local residents are questioning why the city put so many resources into the international event only to be left with a tarnished reputation.
“Cartagena didn’t benefit one cent from President Obama’s visit. All people remember are that the Secret Service agents slept with our prostitutes,” said a man who works in the neighborhood.

Those men went there to try to extract those young women for a life of being enslaved for the pleasure of dirty old men. They were the advance team following orders. One of the brain washed women that definitely had PTSD lost it on the way to the extraction point and blew their cover..... Literally. They are just missunderstood as they were on a mission and if they tell someone they will have to be killed;)

Must be something about Columbia, as Secretary of State Hillary Clinton was also seen partying and drinking.
In most bureaucracies, such things could probably occur, but the Secret Service aren't a regular government bureaucracy, they are charged with protecting the president, and are supposed to be the elite of the elite. This kind of thing shouldn't happen with the them.
I've wondered exactly what motivation the MSM had for bringing this to light, I think you hit on it.
Scandal is scandal and it sells ads - those SS agents are supposed to be nameless, featureless, omniscient, invisible guardians of the most powerful man in the most powerful country in the world.
Now look at how the actions of a few, or one of them has tarnished the image of their organization and the image of our leadership to the Columbians and anyone else who pays attention to the drivel that oozes from the mouths of the MSM talking heads.
Their mistakes would have been dealt with (I'm sure) within their department. With the media coverage their mistakes will now be dealt with by a much larger set of people.
Boys will be boys, and I've done my share of carousing down south; I can honestly say though, that if I was in the advance party to set up security for the POTUS in Columbia or anywhere else, I wouldn't even THINK about f.cking around shitfaced with whores.
Not too damn professional, IMO.
Haha he said blow :D
Not good
The Secret Service sure knows how to party.
Cocaine and several bottles of whiskey apparently fueled the elite agents’ boneheaded fling with about 20 hookers at a posh hotel in Cartagena, Colombia, a hotel staffer told The Post.
The employee responded to the trashed room with police and other Hotel El Caribe workers when one prostitute raised hell after a Secret Service member initially refused to pay her.
“When I went upstairs I walked into a messy room. The room was littered with two whiskey bottles — and a line of white powder, I believed to be cocaine, was on top of a round glass table in the room,” the staffer told The Post.
He painted a picture of morning-after mayhem in the lobby — just two days before President Obama landed in the country for an international summit.
“The prostitute was screaming in the lobby that he didn’t pay her,” the early-morning shift worker recalled. “She looked like she had a few drinks in her. She just wanted what was promised to her.
“She was very upset,” he said.
“The agent was supposed to pay her a [bar] fine on top of the pay rate for her sexual services, but he didn’t,” he said, referring to the local practice of paying a fee to the red-light district hot spot Pley Club to take one of its “dancers” out on a date, and then another fee directly to the woman.
The Secret Service didn’t return calls for comment.
At least 11 Secret Service members and 10 US military personnel partied with as many as 21 hookers at the hotel, according to Sen. Susan Collins (R-Maine), chair of the Senate Homeland Security and Government Affairs Committee.
“Who were these women? Could they have been members of groups hostile to the United States? Could they have planted bugs, disabled weapons, or in any other ways jeopardized security of the president or our country?” she fumed.
“Given the number of personnel involved, does this indicate a problem with the culture of the Secret Service?”

Wow, as a general rule I have very little confidence in the accuracy of media reports, but, if this is in the slightest bit accurate, then I take back my hesitancy to call into question the SS's culture. Think about this, if this alleged behavior was considered permissible by more than 1 or 2 members within this unit at the time of a POTUS overseas visit into a country that has an active insurgency, then you have a systemic issue that cannot be explained as abhorrent. These guys all need to go and it doesn't stop until they reach the Director. In fact, regardless of the Director's professional and personal integrity, he has to resign, IMO no other option is available in order to fix this and again my opinion is contingent upon the accuracy of the recent allegations.

Definitely agree with you there, however, the NYP is usually pretty good, and this isn't an AP or Rueters re-hash, it is their own reporting. Even if the coke belonged to/was used by the girls without SS involved in it or even knowing(i.e. after they went to sleep), this is very bad, any way you look at it.

I'm just a dumb civilian here but wouldn't announcing to everyone that you're there to protect the POTUS be a bad idea to begin with? Also, considering how many people were allegedly involved, I would have thought that a number of them might have convinced the one who supposedly refused to pay to go ahead and pay up in the interest of keeping something like this from happening.

CARTAGENA, Colombia — A Secret Service agent preparing for President Obama’s arrival at an international summit meeting and a single mother from Colombia who makes a living as a high-priced escort faced off in a room at the Hotel Caribe a week ago over how much he owed her for the previous night’s intercourse. “I tell him, ‘Baby, my cash money,’ ” the woman said in her first public comments on a spat that would soon spiral into a full-blown scandal.

The story is getting a reasonable bit of airtime way down here in Australasia.
It's interesting to see the level of aggression from Congressional leadership and their sense of urgency on this issue.
While the Secret Service incident is both unfortunate and unacceptable, it's disappointing that Congressional leadership has failed to display the same level of aggression and sense of urgency in dealing with the considerable issues that exist within their own ranks.

Why do you assume she want to come to the US? By news reports she's making plenty of money in Colombia, perhaps, depending on her professional skills, far more then what she can make here. FYI, not all Colombians want to come to or live in the US.

I understand that, but having spent a bit of time in Latin America, and have see how a lot of the women act around American men. At least in my meager experience, they see it as a meal ticket to the big BX where they don't have to sell themselves to make a living any longer.

Updated at 1:40 a.m. ET: A Secret Service supervisor who retired in the midst of the Colombia prostitution scandal made light on his Facebook page of his work protecting former GOP vice presidential candidate Sarah Palin, the Washington Post reported Thursday evening.
David Randall Chaney posted photos of himself on the social media site, including one that shows him behind Palin during the 2008 campaign, including the comment, "I was really checking her out, if you know what I mean?" the report stated.
The Post also identified Greg Stokes, an assistant special agent in charge of the K9 division, as the agent who was listed as "removal for cause." The process requires a 30-day notice, an opportunity to respond and the right to be represented by private legal counsel.
Lawrence Berger the lawyer who is serving as legal counsel for the two men tells NBC News, "nobody has been separated from the agency involuntarily." According to Berger, Stokes is, "going to vigorously defend himself in the administrative process that is available." Berger said he couldn't comment on why Chaney was employing counsel. Berger also made a point of saying that whoever is leaking the names from inside the Secret Service is probably breaking the law.
Both Chaney and Stokes worked at the Secret Service for nearly two decades, the Post noted.
In an interview with Fox News Thursday, Palin said the joke is on Chaney.
"Well, check this out, buddy — you're fired!" Palin said.
Chaney and Stokes were among 11 Secret Service agents and 10 U.S. military personnel who allegedly took as many as 21 women back to their beachfront hotel just before President Barack Obama arrived for the Summit of the Americas last weekend. They were discovered when one woman complained about money, resulting in the local police getting involved.
Eight men remain suspended and have had their top-secret security clearances lifted.
Confidence in agency leadership
Earlier Thursday, the White House expressed confidence in the director of the Secret Service in the midst of the scandal, which has threatened to become a serious political distraction in an election year. A key lawmaker who oversees the Secret Service predicted more firings there soon.
Obama's chief spokesman, Jay Carney, noted that some employees have already lost their jobs, just days into the government's formal investigation of the incident. Carney also said the president's security in Cartagena was never compromised, and he asked for patience as official investigations continue.
"Perhaps it would be in the interests of a complete and thorough and fair investigation not to make determinations about the conclusions of an investigation before they've even been reached," Carney said. "That's the president's position."
More Secret Service resignations expected to be announced
Rep. Peter King, a New York Republican and chair of the House Homeland Security Committee, said Thursday that more firings could be imminent.
"I wouldn't be surprised if you saw more dismissals and more being forced out sooner rather than later," said King, who is being updated on the investigation by Secret Service Director Mark Sullivan. "You may see a few more today or tomorrow."
Romney: ‘I’d clean house’
Republican presidential candidate Mitt Romney, who receives Secret Service protection, has condemned the alleged misconduct, telling radio host Laura Ingraham that "I'd clean house." But he expressed confidence in Director Sullivan.
"The right thing to do is to remove people who have violated the public trust and have put their play time and their personal interests ahead of the interests of the nation," Romney said.
Three U.S. military officials have said the military personnel include five Army Green Berets, two Navy Explosive Ordinance Disposal technicians, two Marine dog handlers and an Air Force airman. The officials spoke on condition of anonymity because the investigation is still under way.
An Air Force colonel and a military lawyer have gone to Colombia as part of the military investigation. The Secret Service probe has included interviews with the employees and hotel staff.
King said investigators in Colombia have not been able to interview the women.
Reaction in Cartagena
A 24-year-old prostitute told The New York Times this week that the scandal became public after she fought over payment with one of the Secret Service employees, and it spilled out into the hallway of the Hotel Caribe on April 12.
Jose Pena, a Cartagena taxi driver, told The Associated Press that he picked up the woman after the dispute. She said she left the hotel, where other members of the security detail and the White House press corps were staying, after she was paid $225.
NYT: Escort recounts quarrel with Secret Service agent
In Cartagena this week, sex workers and hotel staff were reluctant to speak about the incident, which has become an election year embarrassment in the U.S.
Prostitution is legal in Colombia, and Cartagena thrives on the sex tourism industry, Mayor Campo Elias readily acknowledged, with hundreds of prostitutes available on any given night throughout the colonial walled city.
NBC News' Kristen Welker, Shawna Thomas and Ali Weinberg, The Associated Press and Reuters contributed to this report.

http://www.foxnews.com/politics/2012/04/21/grassley-asks-secret-service-to-see-if-white-house-aides-were-connected-to/
GOP Sen. Chuck Grassley, the ranking member of the Senate Judiciary Committee, is asking the Secret Service whether members of the White House advance team are connected to the Colombian prostitution scandal, considering their “close working relationship” with federal agents.
Grassley, R-Iowa, sent the letter Friday to agency Director Mark Sullivan and acting Inspector General Charles Edwards. He also asked in the letter if the Secret Service is looking at whether the White House communications office also could be involved.
The scandal involving at least one Secret Service agent allegedly bringing a prostitute to his hotel room in Cartagena, Columbia, was made public April 13.
Grassley is concerned about whether White House officials were in the same hotel and if the prostitutes could have had access to their rooms.
The agents were there in advance of President Obama participating in an international trade summit.
Twelve Secret Service agents have been implicated in the incident. Six have been ousted, including one who was allowed to retire. The rest are on paid administrative leave while the incident is being investigated and have had their security clearance suspended.
In addition, the Pentagon says the incident also involved 11 military members -- six Army, two Navy explosive ordinance disposal technicians, two Marine dog handlers and an Air Force airman.
White House spokesman Jay Carney said Friday the administration has no reason to think staffers were involved and implied he would not be looking into the matter.
“From the moment that this was made public and an investigation was launched, we have been in regular touch with the Secret Service and obviously with the Pentagon about this incident,” he said. “I’m sure the discussion and the briefing covers a variety of subjects, a variety of both facts and rumors. What I'm not going to do … is give a play-by-play or speculate about every rumor that you may have heard.”
Carney also said he had “no reason to believe” an internal White House investigation would be needed.
The names of two agency supervisors ousted Wednesday have been made public: David Randall Chaney and Greg Stokes.
Their lawyers have said the president’s safety was never at risk and criticized leaks of internal government investigations in the case, signaling a possible strategy for an upcoming legal defense.
News of the incident, which involves as many as 20 Colombian women, broke after a fight over payment between a prostitute and a Secret Service agent spilled into the hotel hallway.
A 24-year-old Colombian prostitute told The New York Times that the agent agreed to pay her $800 for a night of sex but the next morning offered her only $30. She eventually left the hotel, she told the newspaper, after she was paid $225.
And the New York Post has published pictures of one of the alleged prostitutes.
“Did the Secret Service reserve rooms at the Hotel Caribe or other hotels in Cartagena, Colombia, for representatives of the (White House Communications Agency) or the White House Advance Team?” Grassley asks in his letter. “If so, have records for overnight guests for those entities been pulled as part of the investigation.”
On Chaney's Facebook account, which was made inaccessible on Friday, Chaney joked about his work with former Republican vice presidential candidate Sarah Palin while he was protecting her in 2008.
The AP published a photograph it took of Chaney working in Palin's protective detail in October 2008 during a campaign rally in Carson, Calif.
"I was really checking her out, if you know what i mean?" Chaney wrote after a friend commented on the picture posted in January 2009 on Chaney's Facebook account.
Speaking on Fox News late Thursday, Palin said the joke was on Chaney.
"Well, check this out, buddy — you're fired," she said.

I agree.
What concerns me more is what is being covered up for Zero while this investigation focuses on the SS and SOF?

White House Press Secretary Jay Carney announced that White House legal counsel has concluded no White House staff engaged in any "misconduct" in Cartagena.
"The decision to conduct a review here, internally, was simply done out of due diligence," Carney said. "There is no indication of any misconduct by any member of the White House advance team or staff."
He added that "there have been no specific, credible allegations of misconduct by anyone on the White House advance team or White House staff."
Carney refused to give any details on the investigation, such as whether the investigation included checking hotel records in Colombia or interviewing the White House advance team that went to Cartagena.
"There's no point in getting into the details of this internal review except to say that it was conducted," he said.
He also sought to distance the Obama administration from the White House Comunication Agency (WHCA) member under investigation over the Secret Service prostitution scandal.
"WHCA, as we call it, is staffed entirely by military personnel, not by White House staff," Carney told reporters when asked about reports that a WHCA member is under investigation. "They are not members of the White House staff, they are not chosen by the White House."

Decades ago (from my dinosauer perspective) the US Secret Service was considered within law enforcement to be the stellar federal LE agency (to the FBI's chagrin). Many USSS agents had street police experience before becoming federal.
I've been told by former agents the USSS has had a freefall (about 30%) attrition rate and transfers to other federal agencies in recent years. Whether the culture change is attributed to newer bosses at Homeland Security vs. Treasury, I don't know.

The Colombian prostitutes entangled in the Secret Service sex scandal could have been Russian spies, Sen. Chuck Grassley suggested Tuesday.
“We’re looking at something that is very, very serious when national security might not be protected properly,” Grassley told Radio Iowa. “Who knows who might be using prostitutes? The Russians are famous for that to get information out of us.”
In a letter last night, the Iowa Republican called on the White House to answer questions about an internal review that cleared the advance team of any involvement in the scandal. Secret Service agents and military personnel are accused of bringing prostitutes back to their hotel before President Barack Obama’s trip to Cartagena, Colombia, earlier this month.
“You find a lot of problems come from a culture within the agency,” Grassley said on Radio Iowa. “Now, I don’t think the Secret Service would have that sort of a culture, but this may be the tip of an iceberg.”

Shortchanging by Secret Service Draws Strong Rebuke
NEW YORK – Days after Secret Service agents shortchanged a group of prostitutes in Colombia, the international trade group representing hookers downgraded the United States’ credit rating from AAA to B.
The strong rebuke from the International Alliance of Professional Escorts came after a Secret Service agent reportedly paid one of its members $30 for an $800 service, or only 4% of the stated price.
The statement from the International Alliance of Professional Escorts said that in downgrading the United States’ credit rating it was sending a clear message that its “members should be aware that doing business with the government of the United States carries with it a significant risk.”
“We are urging our members to avoid conducting transactions with the United States and to focus on more reliable customers, like the International Monetary Fund,” the statement added.
Just hours after the announcement from the escorts’ group, the U.S. Congress passed the following resolution blasting the Secret Service for its actions: “We strongly denounce the Secret Service for consorting with prostitutes, which has traditionally been Congress's role.”
But it was not all bad news this week for the Secret Service, which today reported a 5000% jump in enlistment.

Sen. Collins claims Secret Service prostitution scandal wider than believed
WASHINGTON – Several small groups of Secret Service employees separately visited clubs, bars and brothels in Colombia prior to a visit by President Barack Obama last month and engaged in reckless, "morally repugnant" behavior, Sen. Susan Collins says.
She says the employees' actions during the stunning prostitution scandal could have provided a foreign intelligence service, drug cartels or other criminals with opportunities for blackmail or coercion that could have threatened the president's safety.
In remarks prepared for the first congressional hearing on the matter Wednesday, Collins, R-Maine, also challenged early assurances that the scandal in Colombia appeared to be an isolated incident. She noted that two participants were Secret Service supervisors -- one with 21 years of service and the other with 22 years -- and both were married. Their involvement "surely sends a message to the rank and file that this kind of activity is tolerated on the road," Collins said.
"This was not a one-time event," said Collins, the senior Republican on the Senate Homeland Security and Governmental Affairs Committee. "The circumstances unfortunately suggest an issue of culture."
continued:
Last paragraph;
This week the Drug Enforcement Administration said the Justice Department's Office of the Inspector General was investigating possible misconduct by two or more agents in Colombia. Collins revealed that the case involved at least two DEA employees who entertained female masseuses in the Cartagena apartment of one of the DEA agents. The investigation is unrelated to the Secret Service scandal but is based on information provided to the DEA by the Secret Service.

We tell deployed LEOs and military it is okay to sodomize one another, but don't drink alcohol or have sex with a hooker in a country where it is perfectly legal.
Who came up with this moral code, the Dims?
TR
The Secret Service issued new rules of conduct for agents last Friday.
They can no longer get drunk, procure hookers or go to strip bars. The rules say that from now on, if agents feel compelled to engage in such behavior, they can run for public office like everyone else.
And so it goes...

Secret Service agent kills self amid affair probe
Posted: Nov 01, 2012 3:18 PM MST Updated: Nov 01, 2012 3:18 PM MST
By ALICIA A. CALDWELL
WASHINGTON (AP) — A senior Secret Service agent being formally investigated by the government for failing to disclose a long-standing relationship with a foreign citizen killed himself last week.
People familiar with the matter say Rafael Prieto, a married father assigned to President Barack Obama's security detail, acknowledged the affair after U.S. authorities began investigating. These people spoke on the condition of anonymity because they were not authorized to discuss Prieto's death or the investigation.
The sources say Prieto's relationship was revealed to Secret Service investigators by an agent who had been entangled in the Colombian prostitution scandal earlier this year. That agent was concerned that the Secret Service wasn't enforcing its rules consistently.
It is against Secret Service rules to have a relationship with a foreign citizen and not tell the agency.
