Trying to find out info on CPT Tom Bozzay.

I'm from Chicago and a cubs fan and saw during the pregame that they honored him for his bronze star and silver star and was wondering if there was any info about his awards. I'm just curious because he was my ranger buddy back in ranger school and tried to get me to goto the Chicago unit but I ended up going to the Columbus unit since I was already in the Ohio Guard.

2 Illinois Guardsmen Awarded Silver Star

Joint Chiefs of Staff Chairman Gen. Martin Dempsey has honored two Illinois National guardsmen with Silver Stars for valor.

Dempsey joined Illinois Gov. Pat Quinn and Illinois National Guard Major Gen. William Enyart to present the medals on Sunday.

The honors go to Sgt. First Class Ryan Ahern of Glen Ellyn and Capt. Tom Bozzay of Wheaton. Both men are with Company A, 2nd Battalion, 20th Special Forces Group in Chicago.

The soldiers earned the medals for helping to save the lives of injured soldiers in Afghanistan in December 2009. The soldiers were protecting a French military unit.
