So, after two years of detention, the court acquits the Hutaree of sedition. Saw this one coming waaaaaaaaaay back when the FBI agent couldn't get her shit straight during the bond hearing. They then had two years to get their shit together...and couldn't seem to get it done.
If I recall correctly, these folks were arrested shortly after the passing of Obamacare, when the media was pimping the tea party, right wing, home grown terrorist scare. So, was this a professionally executed FBI operation gone wrong...or a political move to send a message?

2 years sitting in a cells and much of that was spent in solitary confinement......it smelled from day 1.
I would like to see what the price tag for this fiasco was.

But, where I kind of differ is not that there is a conspiracy, to throw these guys in jail forever to send a message...but just the act of making the arrests, and the media coverage of the arrests is enough to make the point to the public, whom some in the administration may believe, need to be quieted down a bit.
The head of the FBI is a political appointee. He works for the Administration. If the Administration wants to make an example, this appointee has the ability to ask his lieutenants, “what is our strongest case?” and then direct a takedown. In order to reach the intended goal, the case only needs to be “prima facie” (on first appearance). I am not saying the FBI field grunts were not doing their job, conspiring to make a political statement, falsifying evidence, or trumping up charges. They were quite obviously doing their jobs. I am saying it is not outside the realm of possibility that a political appointee can direct the takedown of this group with evidence that initially appears to be sufficient, reasonable, and explainable to the masses…but insufficient when it finally gets to court. The info the Government provides to the 6-12 disinterested, fair-minded people is exactly what they want to provide to them in order to persuade them that “more likely than not” these charges are valid. What did the Administration/Government/FBI lose in getting the message out?

Not a lot of info out there, and I will reserve judgment for a later time. As I said earlier…this whole situation just didn’t sit right with me.
I am going to actually start believing my own hype. :D

I would like to see what the price tag for this fiasco was.Alot of PPT slides in domestic "threat" briefings are gonna have to find a new bullet point.

You know this fiasco, like many things these days including the Martin shooting is kind of like the Little Boy who Cried Wolf and a fewer people trust and/or listen to the messenger.
In this case you had the SPLC, DHS and DOJ warning Americans about the danger of rising evil Militias and White Separatists. They find an easy target, send untold numbers of agents, agencies and spent God knows how much money to apprehend and prosecute 9 goofballs.
It was a YGBSM moment!
Thankfully there was no loss of life as we have seen in the past.
To put it into perspective... we have OM's like AQ, Hezbollah and Hamas running around loose. We have a growing problem with Mexican Gangs and Cartels. And now this week we have the NBPP putting bounties on people.
We have all that, and the best the DOJ can do is lock up 9 goofballs and 2 years later a court finds the charges absurd.

In the case of the NBPP, I think its attitude is understandable given the fact that Obama and Holder agreed that they "ain't goin' after no black folk". Why shouldn't they commit a felonious act in putting out a bounty? They have a get-out-of-jail free card given them by the POTUS and Holder, right?

If the democraps didn't want this politicized, then Obama should have kept his mouth shut.
Another similar case, nearly a year to the date is former Marine Charles Dyer aka July4Patriot who was in the process of a divorce with child rape allegations. Dyer was also involved in the Tea Party, The Oath Keepers, Militias within Oklahoma and the American Resistance Movement.
During the investigation by Ducan, Oklahoma Police a M203 Grenade Launcher was found, the ATF was called and Mr. Dyer was sent to Federal Detention facility. Isn't the penalty for having Illegal Class III Devices like 10 years and $100, 000 in fines....
On top of that the Serial Number came up as one of five that came up missing from a Military shipment.....what is the penalty for have stolen Military Equipment?
So about a year later Dyer gets his day in Court and a Jury finds him Not Guilty on all the ATF charges and he is released with no restrictions.
Shortly there after Oklahoma decides to prosecute him on the Child Rape allegations......and we are now on the 4th or 5th mistrial.
The Hutaree are in a similar situation being that Michigan can now prosecute if they so choose.

Now, what I want to see after Obamacare is determined to be unconstitutional by the SCOTUS (and the left loses their collective mind) is how quickly the media hypes a leftist revolution. Maybe the FBI will go on a communist/socialist activist roundup.

No need. If that happens Spike Lee will Tweet all the personal information of the Evil Justices to the masses.....and there is Executive Order on Health care written and within arms reach to sign for Obama.
LOL ... And the NBPP can put a bounty out for the capture of the justices. The Pres can declare a state of emergency and enact martial law to quell the civil unrest, while signing that executive order. Afterward he can invite in UN peacekeepers to disarm the population. It will be the Armageddon the prophets of the far right have predicted.
