The article is a little old but I found this amusing.

Combat pilot to intel officer......and yet again the Military Intelligence oxymoron rears its head.

He also earned a law degree in 1995 at the University of Richmond and currently is vice president and general counsel for USA Discounters in Virginia Beach.

That alone should disqualify him for any position of trust and responsibility.

There were a couple of times I wanted to shoot down a friendly a/c myself - actually, my beef was with the aircrews and not the a/c - but with my luck, I was always afraid they'd make me sign a statement of charges and I just couldn't afford to pay for one of the damn things!

The article is a little old but I found this amusing. Amusing is an odd choice of words.
A horrible mistake was made.
A guy lost his wings
Another guy got dinged pretty bad, probably couldn't fly any more either
The first guy lives with it, "Soldiers" on, and contributes
Another guy is forced into a medical retirement
The first guy hears about that incident every time something good happens to him.
Another guy wakes up in pain every morning
And you're amused.

Apologies Dozer, Should have used pink for that word. Not good at conveying sarcasm at times.
