Gawd, this guy cracks me up. The perfect party lapdog. I'm thinking there are a few military historians out there who might disagree with the Veep's opinion on this one. :rolleyes:

Vice President Joe Biden is the biggest cheerleader of the president's decision to raid Osama bin Laden's compound and, on Monday, he offered new praise for the choice Obama made last spring.
“You can go back 500 years. You cannot find a more audacious plan. Never knowing for certain. We never had more than a 48 percent probability that he was there,” Biden said at a fundraiser in Morris Township, N.J.
“Do any one of you have a doubt that if that raid failed that this guy would be a one-term president?” Biden asked. Obama, he said, “is willing to do the right thing and risk losing.”
Biden said he spends four to six hours a day with the president and watches him make decisions. “I’m telling you, man, this guy is not only smart as hell, he is absolutely ready to make the decision and stand back and live with it. No whining," the vice president said. "I literally do get to be the last guy in the room.”
Tickets for the fundraiser started at $1,000 and went up to $5,000 for a VIP reception. There were 140 guests and, in all, the pool reporter estimated that the event brought in about $400,000.

Even though, from what I understand, Panetta was the one with the balls to say "Yes" to the raid, the Obama administration will squeeze every drop out of that action from now 'til the regime change. Especially during the final debates.
That, and the pirate sniping incident.
Look back and tell me one other good thing that's come out of this entire administration's efforts (not counting Michelle's truck patch).
I can name a big bunch of butt-scrunchingly embarassing things, though.

Anyways, I'd rather have a great one term president than a lame (duck) two term wannabe. It's time for this group to move on to secluded retirement. Where they can read some "history" books.

I used to have to sit through talks from this ass-hat annually...On one occasion with the buildup to the surge in Iraq, he ranted and raved as to how short sighted the plan was and how the surge was doomed for failure. The next year he returns and greats us with this gem: I know I told you that the surge could not work, but the problem with you folks is you are too good at what you do.
The room was stone cold silent, until he went for his next breath.

On a sad occasion Joe Biden's 1st wife Neilia and 3 children were involved in a fatal auto accident. Neilia and 13month old infant Naomi were killed in the crash, the other two children survived and were hospitalized. Even though Joe Biden was the Senator Elect for his first term and the two surviving children from the accident had been released from the hospital; Joe took the 2 children back to the hospital & had the nurses reapply the bandages for a photo op. Real Classey guy?....TK

The World Hide-and-Seek Federation has taken the unprecedented step of handing a lifetime ban to US Navy SEAL Erik Carroll following an incident in Pakistan last year which led to the death of the then hide-and-seek world record holder, Osama bin Laden.
‘Erik has long had a reputation as the bad boy of the sport,’ said the governing body’s president, Jack Carter. ‘From the moment he appeared on the scene – popping out from behind the sofa – it was obvious that we were looking at a prodigiously talented hider and seeker, but his talent was matched only by his lack of respect for the rules of the sport. I’d always warned him that it’s all fun and games until someone loses an eye.’
Erik’s 1997 world championship win was shrouded in controversy amid allegations that he waterboarded the first hider he found in order to extract information on the whereabouts of the remaining contestants, and that he made it harder for his opponents to conceal themselves by forcing them to wear bright orange boiler suits. His other infractions include fines for failing to announce ‘Ready or not, here I come!’ at the start of contests, and once tricking hiders to come out by falsely declaring a game to be over because it was dinner time.
‘Erik’s behaviour became increasingly erratic after he lost the top spot to Osama bin Laden in 2001,’ continued Carter, ‘and ultimately we were left with no choice other than to impose a life ban. We have to send a clear message that shooting fellow contestants in the eye, thereby severely affecting their seeking capabilities, simply isn’t acceptable in top-flight competition.’
