View Full Version : Change In Tactics And Media Reporting? (Toulouse Shooting)
How is this not relate to terrorism, and is it not interesting in the non reporting of the Paratroops ambushes that the shooters change tactics and hit a school. They are bringing the fight home. We may see this everywhere?

Apparently they (French authorities) are looking at three ex-soldiers cashiered for being Neo Nazi's. Pretty cold blooded murder of the little girl.

Pete is right. A Jewish community center in LA was attacked in 1999, and one in seattle was attacked in 2006.

The motive for the killings is unclear.
The Paris prosecutor's office said Monday it will investigate eventual terrorist links to Monday's killing and the two killings of paratroopers last week. The prosecutor's office, in a statement, did not indicate any evidence so far of any form of terrorism.
Even in light of the death of their own citizens and service members, they cannot bring themselves to face facts.
Neo Nazi's
Cops probing the fatal shootings of a teacher and three children at a Jewish school are hunting three soldiers sacked over claims they were neo-Nazis.
The men were all axed from their elite paratrooper regiment in 2008 after a photo surfaced of them giving Nazi salutes in front of a Swastika flag.

At first everyone was certain that the bombing/shooting in Norway was carried out by islamic terrorists as well. Turned out the perp was a blond-haired, blue-eyed crazy guy who carried out the attacks to fight islam. Maybe in this case, too, it is best to wait for the facts.

Not surprising in France/Paris.....there are Muslim sections of town that the Police do not even go anymore.
Those areas are basically sharia run enclaves with zero assimilation taking place.

French police surround Toulouse shooting suspect, claim he has links to al-Qaeda
Al-Arabiya News, 21 Mar 2012
A gunman, suspected of killing three children and a rabbi at a Jewish school in the name of al-Qaeda, said on Wednesday he would hand himself over to police after an hours-long siege in which he wounded three officers.
About 300 police, some in bullet-proof body armor, cordoned off an area surrounding an apartment in a Toulouse neighborhood in southwestern France, where the 24-year-old Muslim man was holed up. Shots were heard in the early hours of the morning, and police said three officers had been slightly wounded.
Interior Minister Claude Gueant said the gunman was a French citizen of Algerian origin who had been to Pakistan and Afghanistan and had shot dead the four in revenge for French military involvement abroad. He is also suspected by authorities of killing three soldiers of North African origin last week.
“He said ... he will turn himself in this afternoon,” Gueant told BFM television, adding the man had thrown a Colt 45 pistol from the house in exchange for a “communication device.”
He still has an Uzi machine gun, a Kalashnikov assault rifle and other weapons, the minister said, according to Reuters.
President Nicolas Sarkozy, campaigning for re-election in a presidential poll in five weeks, has blamed racism for Monday’s school attack. His handling of the crisis could be a decisive factor in determining how the French people vote.
Far-right candidate Marine Le Pen decried the attacks as the result of France’s mistaken policy in Afghanistan and said France should wage war against “these fundamentalist political and religious groups that are killing our children.”

...Interior Minister Gueant said earlier the gunman wanted revenge “for the Palestinian children and he also wanted to attack the French army because of its foreign intervention.”
“He claims to be a mujahideen and to belong to al-Qaeda,” he told journalists in Toulouse.
Gueant did not say how they had tracked the man down, but that police were talking to his brother at a separate location in connection with the killings.
France’s Europe 1 radio said he had been picked up by Pakistani intelligence services in Afghanistan’s Kandahar and his details had been sent to the French security services. It gave no date....
...Immigrants and Islam have been major themes of the campaign as Sarkozy tried to win over the voters of Le Pen, who called for a war on fundamentalism.
“The risk of fundamentalism has been underestimated in our country. Certain political and religious groups are developing in the face of a certain laxness,” she told the i-Tele news channel, questioning the decision to deploy in Afghanistan...
So much for the NeoNazi theory, which I thought was as well thought out as the serial crusher theory and the huge guy theory. (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KdP2avo-Mfg)

A little more info:
The murders of three children and one adult at a Jewish school in Toulouse on Monday shocked France. Meanwhile, the revelation that the same perpetrator had apparently also killed three soldiers in the preceding days created a climate of intense fear. On Monday, French President Nicolas Sarkozy raised the terror alert in the region to its highest level as police launched a massive manhunt.
On Wednesday, the search reached its climax as police held the suspected killer under siege in a Toulouse flat. The 24-year-old man has been identified as Mohammed Merah, a French citizen of Algerian descent. The man, who has apparently been under observation by French intelligence for years, claims to belong to al-Qaida, according to French Interior Minister Claude Guéant, who was at the scene. The suspect had apparently said he acted to "avenge Palestinian children." According to French authorities, the man had visited Afghanistan and Pakistan, and was apparently motivated by anger at the French military over its foreign missions.
The area around the apartment building has been cordoned off, and police were negotiating with the man on Wednesday morning. He is said to be armed with an AK-47 rifle and other weapons. The siege followed a dawn raid on the building which turned into a firefight that left three police officers wounded. The man's brother was also arrested in Toulouse.

Campaign Suspended
The man is suspected of two earlier attacks as well as the school shooting. One French paratrooper was killed in Toulouse on March 11, and two other paratroopers were killed in an attack on March 15 in Montauban, where one soldier was also injured. The suspect drove a motorcycle and used the same gun in all three attacks.
The main candidates in France's presidential election temporarily suspended campaigning in reaction to Monday's school shooting. The series of attacks looks set to become a campaign issue, however. On Wednesday, Sarkozy said that France should not give way to discrimination or vengeance in the aftermath of the shootings.
A memorial service for the three dead soldiers was due to be held in Montauban on Wednesday. Sarkozy will attend, as will Socialist presidential candidate Francois Hollande and Marine Le Pen, the leader of the far-right National Front.
On Wednesday, German commentators discuss the significance of the attacks for France.
The center-right Frankfurter Allgemeine Zeitung writes:
"For a couple of days, political life in France is at a standstill. The election campaign has (almost) gone quiet, and most of the presidential candidates have asserted their commitment to France's shared values in a republican consensus. The massacre at a Jewish school in Toulouse and the killing of three soldiers in the region has united the nation in mourning."
"Democracy depends on the fact that it goes on even under a temporary state of emergency. The campaign will therefore soon continue, and that's a good thing. It would be even better if some issues that have made waves in recent weeks were to be suppressed in future. For example, Nicolas Sarkozy and his Interior Minister Guéant had sparked a debate about the slaughter of animals that had met with disapproval even within his own party, because it was aimed primarily at Muslim immigrants, but also affected French Jews. It is impossible to judge if and to what degree the Toulouse murders will change the mood before we know the identity of the perpetrator. But one thing already seems clear: Domestic security, a favorite topic in election campaigns, will be high on the agenda."
The center-left Der Tagesspiegel writes:
"Thinking about what turn the campaign may now take in reaction to the killings in southern France might seem cynical. But that doesn't change the fact that, four weeks before the first ballot, the political debate is suddenly taking place under changed circumstances. The brutal series of attacks is not just a matter for the prosecutor's office -- it also forces France's political class to respond. And Sarkozy's opponent Hollande finds himself on the defensive."
"Sarkozy now sees himself in a role as the leader of an unsettled nation who has to support the French and make sure the crimes are solved. After a campaign that for a long time left Sarkozy lagging behind, there is now real pressure on the president to act."
"Sarkozy's compatriots are waiting for the bloody deeds of Toulouse and Montauban to be cleared up now. It is natural that their attention is focused on the president. But what effect that will have on voters' behavior in the upcoming election is another matter."
The left-leaning Berliner Zeitung writes:
"The series of murders occurred in the middle of the French presidential campaign. ... Candidates on the right had been doing their best to heat up the debate. Interior Minister Claude Guéant recently mused about the superiority of Western civilization. The National Front candidate Marine Le Pen launched a polemic about halal and kosher meats. Nicolas Sarkozy immediately joined in, trying to kick off a new debate about 'national identity' and promising to halve the number of immigrants. Sarkozy, who is the son of an immigrant father and a mother of Greek Jewish descent, is not a racist. But he likes to play with nationalist fires, and has been blowing vigorously into the flames. That gets the political atmosphere heated up."
"It also raises the question: Can this mood, which is partly an artificial one whipped up for the elections, lead an insane person to commit murders? One must be very careful with assuming there is a causal relationship between election rhetoric and such irrational acts. But one thing is certain: Now, in the aftermath of the attacks, the same candidates who were earlier fanning the flames will organize police protection for religious places of worship and decree a national moment of silence."
In his regular column for the mass circulation Bild, Franz Josef Wagner writes:
"A devil in black on a scooter shot and killed three children and a religion teacher in front of a Jewish school in Toulouse. Four Jewish people lay in their own blood. Nobody knows if the perpetrator on the scooter is a Nazi or a racist."
"To me, he's just inhuman. A zombie. A zombie like the Zwickau band of killers (in Germany). Zombies kill mercilessly. But how can you protect yourself from zombies like that? God, if I only knew."
-- David Gordon Smith

(Daily Mail) — A self-confessed Al Qaeda terrorist thought to have murdered seven people across south west France over the past two weeks was going to post footage of his crimes online today, he claimed.
Mohammed Mera, 24, told news channel France 24′s editor Ebba Kalondo at 1am this morning he had ‘filmed everything’ with a small video camera and ‘intended to put the videos online’.
But just two hours later more than 300 armed police dramatically raided his Toulouse home – where three officers were injured – and he is now cornered and under siege.
He has been described as ‘armed and dangerous’ with a cache including an Uzi machine gun and Kalashnikov assault rifle, with police saying he is likely to kill again.
It has also emerged he was being tracked by French security services ‘for years’ and had broken out of a jail in Kandahar, Afghanistan, as part of a mass Taliban escape in 2008.
He said he is punishing France’s army for its foreign interventions and the plight of Palestinian children – and has promised to give himself up later today.
He earlier threw a pistol from a window, in exchange for a ‘communication device’ – and police are now blowing entry points into the building in preparation for a raid.
The suspected serial killer is thought to have killed a Rabbi and three pupils at a Jewish school in the city on Monday, and to have assassinated three soldiers last week.
French Interior Minister Claude Gueant said the man, a French-Algerian who had made several visits to Afghanistan, was acting out of revenge for France’s military involvement in the country.
The man, who describes himself as an Islamic warrior, also wanted to take revenge for what he describes as the ‘murder’ of Palestinian children by Israeli forces.
‘He claims to be a Mujahideen and to belong to Al Qaeda,’ said Mr Gueant, who is at the scene of the tense stand-off.

Let me get this straight, the "islamic cowpie" is mad at the Israeli's so he murders children in France... makes perfect sense to me.
This war with islam will never end.
Let's put a face to the victims of this jihadi coward. He apparently ran little Miriam Monsonego into a corner, put a pistol to her head, and executed her. Until we, as a nation, confront the evil that is Islam, this will never end.
Witnesses described how the gunman aimed at whoever was in his path, first shooting Jonathan Sandler, 30, a rabbi and teacher, along with his two sons, Aryeh, six, and Gavriel, three, as they waited for a minibus to take them to their nursery. All three are dead.
Then, when his 9mm weapon jammed, the killer switched to a .45-calibre gun, entered the school gates and chased children as they fled for cover.
He shot a 17-year-old pupil, who is now fighting for his life in hospital, and then cornered eight-year old Miriam, the daughter of the school principal, Yaacov Monsonego. He put the gun to her head and shot her.

Yup, makes perfect sense, because we all know that the true "Islamic Warrior" can only pick fights with women, children, and other defenseless people's.
And, no this "war" will never end, in fact I don't even think we've gotten started. The last ten-years is only the preamble to years of religious and fundamental cultural difference.
How can someone become radicalized by reading the Koran? I thought Islam was a religion of peace that has been hijacked by extremists.
...Merah had told police he was radicalised while in prison, during which time he began reading the Koran.
