Reminds me of the Navy cooks being sent to top culinary schools so they can work in the Admiral's mess. Meanwhile, we got green hot dogs and crunchy rice....:boohoo

As for the Air Force, how much schooling does one need to pour Nancy Pelosi a Cosmopolitan?

Dang;

How much training does it take for a Load Master to throw a mess of TV dinners in the comfort pallet heater and brew a pot of coffee?

They seemed to do just fine and didn't need to show a hairy leg to get some applause from our worn out and hungry gang.

The big question was "Does it have a comfort pallet?" "Yes" "Thank You, Thank You, Thank You."

Politics... keep the cattle happy and hopefully they're better disposed to the military which many of them have zero clue about. Better that than having them step off with a grudge for not being respected as an esteemed member of our government.

Would be nice to throw 'em on a herc for a ride across the pond though; plenty of room in a Camelback for cosmos or other foofoo drinks.

Yes, it's still embarrassing. :(

Ranger cooks go to cooking schools and win gold medals for their food.

Then turn around, jump on airfields, and discuss recepies between augmenting casevac teams as EMT's.

I am not one to defend stupidity, but these folks are charged with flying all of our dignitaries around. We all may think it is stupid that said dignitaries are treated so well, but let's face it, they expect it, and if they don't get it someone's ass is going to be fired.

You would not believe the stuff AF "flight attendants" have to do. I know a lot of them and they work their butts off. I do not see a problem with providing them training to do their jobs.

We send transportation guys to civilian schools to get their CDLs, maybe this was a more cost effective means of providing training to our folks rather than building a seperate course at the schoolhouse.

I dont think anyone has an issue with the "flight Attendants" them selves. I have no doubt they work hard and put up with more BS than I could. The issue I have is the big wigs expect to get tis type of treatment while at the same time talking about cutting the military budget. They should fly the same Uncl Sam Airlines that I do or or fly commercial.

AMEN.

Seems to me there are plenty of out-of-work commercial flight attendants who could be hired without using military personnel.

What did you do in the war Mamma? And why do you have all those little bottles of whiskey??

Uncle Sam Air has many different types of aircraft and crews for many different types of missions, and flying commercial for a number of government ffolkes with attendant staffs and PSDs - combined with the inefficency of lost work time by going through the process of commercial travel combined with being unable to work on classified projects by being in a public environment while enroute to your destination - would be pretty costly in itself.

This $22k x 3/yr doesn't seem like a BIG waste to me and actually makes more sense than a number of the other expenditures I've seen - like paying the salary of Eric Holder.

However, y'all's MMV - and so it goes...
