Last Summer the wife and I splurged on a real nice room outside of Ft. Lewis, $135.00 for one night, it was my birthday. To me thats not the norm, its something to be considered as a luxury. Now today I read how the former Speaker of the House spent her Christmas at some suite in Hawaii that goes for $10,000.00 per night. In fact this is her third straight Christmas at this exclusive resort. Decadence is not relegated to either party but I tend to believe that the dems are with out a doubt at the head of the pack when it comes to hypocrisy. You suppose the 99% crowd was there to meet her when she landed?
Have you considered the efficient market explanation? Specifically how much would Pelosi have to pay a man to spend the night with her?
If she used her own money to pay for the room, why do you care? I dislike her as much as the next person, but she is rich, and has always been rich. This is how the rich spend their money.

If she used her own money that's fine...But I'm guessing she figured out a way to pay with previous unspent campaign contributions as others do from both partys.

Except that she was one of those people that criticized car execs for showing up to Congressional hearings via private jets, and sides with the 99%ers against the 1% in a show of commonality with the little guy. She is a tool, an old, ugly, has been tool.

Hence why I said just because she is a hypocrit doesn't mean we have to be. ;) Either everyone is free to spend "their" money as they see fit, or they're subject to being told by others. I know which side I fall in that debate.
