So I went shooting with the Team Sergeant today.

Folks I can sum up the day in a simple word...........WOW!

Wow...I got some bad habits that I didn't even pick up on.
Wow...I need to dry fire A LOT.
Wow...I got homework after shooting with the Team Sergeant.
Wow...I don't need a rear sight at "social" distant.

Wow...The Team Sergeant Can SHOOT.
Wow...The Team Sergeant can regularly hit a 18 inch X 32 inch steel silhouette at 170 yards standing off hand with his H & K Expert. No shit saw it with my own eyes...next time I'll get it on video and post it before RL gets his video up and running. :p

Team Sergeant thank you I very much appericate your time and training. My family and I will be very appericative (read: you name the bottle or bottles and they are on me) of you and your time when your training saves my life some day.

Folks this man can shoot and even better he can teach.

If any of you get the chance to shoot with him I HIGHLY recommend it.

No, I mean the obstacle that kept him from backing up further? ;)

Joe,

It was a good time. Just give a yell when you can go again. I'll ensure I have more batteries for my @#$%#$^@#%#$ EOTEC!!!

(I think it was more like 170 feet, no one shoots 170 yards with a pistol, iron sights, offhand and hits an 18inch wide 32 inch high steel tgt with a pistol.)

TS
(off to the store for more batteries $^&%$@%#$%$%$&^%#$#W%@#$^)

As long as were talking pure range shooting and no one shooting back, i and few team mates of mine have shot steel targets up to 100 meters, beyond that it is more of a lucky shot but up to 70-100 meters one can hit targets like that with reasonable accuracy, 18"x32" or even smaller.

Sounds like a good time.

I believe that Elmer Keith did that trick with a revolver out to even longer ranges, regularly, but he one of a kind. :D

Because past that it was very difficult to distinguish between the target and the back stop.

Uh huh sure it was 170 ft. Whatever you say ;) (But it was your range finder that determined the distance)

Sounds like a good time.

It was Sir, next time you are out west we should all hook up for a little shooting, maybe around the Shot Show?

Joe,
No one's going to believe 170 yards, 170 feet sounds better.

Going on memory here, isn't Elmer Keith responsible for the development of the Smith and Wesson .44 magnum? I've heard stories about Elmer from Col. Applegate who was friends with him. That .44 mag is a pretty flat shooting gun to 100 yds and better. That's why I shoot one.

Ok, quit screwing around, it WAS 170 yds. As soon as it's light out this morning I'm going to search the steel pile by the shop for your new 400 yd. steel plate target.

Roger that Team Sergeant!

Thanks for the offer Kyobanim I already got an offer for another board member, can I get a rain check for when I get video of the long range shots?

NousDefionsDoc,

If I can ask what elevation was your 175 meter shot at?

NousDefionsDoc

Ooooh the air is a little thin up there.

TS,

I'm calling an unfair advantage on NDD's part. We need to do the 200m shot in my AO. Which is 2,133 meters ASL.

BTW, video should be up soon.
