I have a nephew who at 7 or 8 years old collected and repaired vacuum cleaners. By the age of 12, he was collecting old computers, diasassembling them and repairing them. He is now an undergraduate Computer Engineering student at Cal. He is a geek, no doubt but a very nice, smart kid. My son was worried about him being bullied in high school. He said he had no problem with the big guys, he tutored them and helped them with their homework. Smart kid.

He probably has Asperger Syndrome, which causes a person to usually gain intense interests, or obsessions, in things that can be very strange-seeming to many people. One kid I read about at a young age became obsessed with drains. He learned all about drains, all the different kinds, and would point out to people what type of drain a sink had. Then he became obsessed with cars, able to point out any and all models. For some kids, it's computers, mathematics, or both (they call Asperger's "The Engineer's Disease").

For this particular kid it's vacuum cleaners:cool:

 Maybe I am missing something here Sir, but what is bad about his parents?

BS this is the comedy zone,,

If this child has a medical condition such as Asperger Syndrome, his parents are not helping with this video and should be smacked..

If the child doesn't have a medical condition, and the parents are encouraging this obsessive behavior,, they should be suitably redressed.

Back to the joke part,, it's funny,, even if it is on the History Channel...
