"Layoffs too often became permanent, not part of the business cycle. And these changes didn't just affect blue collar workers. If you were a bank teller or a phone operator or a travel agent, you saw many in your profession replaced by ATMs and the internet," President Obama said at a campaign event in Kansas.

So what you are saying is that internet servers and ATM's don't cost employers healthcare, unemployment, soc security tax withholding, etc etc.......... Hummm, maybe we should raise taxes and give more people "free" shit........ yep, that's the ticket..............

BHO is trying to get the sheeple vote by blaming innovation, advances in
technology, and free enterprise.

This will be the NEW 2012 "Bush Did It" mantra..

BHO must create a bogeyman - he can't run on his economic record and expect to win.

I agree with JJ - no more Bush to blame this time around.

What BHO means to say: American Exceptionalism ruined all of those who got too cushy or felt too entitled to actually produce anything or continue to produce. In order to fix it (and buy my voting base back), let's model Europe: crush the innovators, make the productive pay and ensure the government has it's nose in everything. Rinse, repeat, and divide the loot.

That will fix it.

Good point! And there are many things that have cost us jobs.....regulations, Government Intervention, the bankers, the mortgage crisis, unions, Chinese slave labor, and much , much more......but I would put the internet low on that totem pole, but demonizing the internet is a good way to get a internet tax on the fast track.

I wonder who is he going to blame when private pensions get robbed, through loop hole in the 2005 bankruptcy law.........

In other news.........

Many of the locals are calling into the local radio stations saying that Obama brought his own cheering crew to Osawatomie (kind of like professional mourners), and they (the Locals) were turned away from the event.

Modern technology has caused a 97-98% unemployment rate.
(Among would-be farmers)

The ability to kill an antelope with a single blow to the forehead isn't nearly as important as it used to be, either.

"When the United States was formed in 1776, it took 19 people on the farm to produce enough food for 20 people. So most of the people had to spend their time and efforts on growing food. Today, it's down to 1% or 2% to produce that food. Now just consider the vast amount of supposed unemployment that was produced by that. But there wasn't really any unemployment produced. What happened was that people who had formerly been tied up working in agriculture were freed by technological developments and improvements to do something else. That enabled us to have a better standard of living and a more extensive range of products."
-Milton Friedman

Many of the locals are calling into the local radio stations saying that Obama brought his own cheering crew to Osawatomie (kind of like professional mourners), and they (the Locals) were turned away from the event. The out-of-staters that made up the Rent-A-Mob served their purpose in Madison, WI and needed something else to do in Obamawatomie. They are often transported with a backup teleprompter; lots of union locals to choose from for staffing. Good gig for a charter bus driver that wants to pickup a few extra bucks...

Who actually watched the video to catch the comment about unions saving jobs....? ....:rolleyes:Referring to his comment at the end about not having any "leverage" unless being a member of a union...? One of his few moments of transparency in my view.*

* point out who done you wrong; make you mad at it/them; tell them you know how to fix their problem

BHO made a point to use a certain place, quote the Progressive parties hero and so called claim to fame, and; all he did was blame the other side. The man thinks he is Abe Lincoln one day, MLK another, Thomas Jefferson, or whoever comes to mind. The one thing this narcissistic ass will not do is ever admit-"I was wrong."He never takes personal responsibility.

If the tech explosion, which began during the 1990's is to blame for unemployment, how come the Democrats praise Bill Clintion for balancing the budget on the back of said tech explosion? Of course, the libs conveniently forget that all spending bills come out of the House of Representatives. Oh. Wait a minute. Newt Gingrich was Speaker of the House during that time. Shxt.

He gives tours (I think admission is ~$10).
He also has quite a collection of military uniforms.

If you're in the Colorado Springs area, it's not far.
All of the guns/cannons on his various vehicles work. All of them.
