Luxury sports cars in costly Japan pile-up

"A luxury sports car outing in Japan has ended in what may be one of the most expensive car crashes in history.

Eight Ferraris, three Mercedes-Benzes, a Lamborghini and two other vehicles were involved in the pile-up in the southern prefecture of Yamaguchi................."

A whole lot of red paint got messed up in that one.

12 cars crash doing an estimated 85-100 mph and no one was seriously hurt. Sounds like a pretty effective endorsement of how safe those cars are.

Ever since my teenage years and first seeing a 308 GTB on Magnum PI and the Daytona Spider knock off on Miami Vice I have had a thing with Ferrari's. IMHO the 250 GT Lusso and the Testarossa are two of the most beautiful cars ever made. Even though those cars are covered by insurance I'd be sick to my stomach over totaling a piece of mechanical art.
