It was about late August 68 when we got SCU patches fotr the INDIG. Then we got M-16's, too. The Recon team leaders did not even get all or even their share of the CAR 15's, the Belgium Browning 9MM's, or the knife.I was issued those as an HF CO. I also carried those items with the FAC. I gave them to a recon 10 in mid Apr 69 after being assigned to the 3 shop. Now, we had a lot of different knifes in SOG. One was the isssue one. I want to say it was more of an AF pilot survival knife.
Next we had those 5th group knives one got when he DEROS'd, There was also a 10 knife. I cannot keep up with all we had.
