I saw that as well.

Frankly, I do not think that it reflects the respect that should be shown to the First Lady of the United States, but maybe she will take away the surprising fact that not everyone in this country is happy with the performance of her and her husband.

I wonder how many of those present remember, as I do, that except for her husband's election, she has never felt any pride in this nation?

A predominantly white male redneck sport that just us white male rednecks enjoy. Too bad that the rain delay came before the race was half over, I am a blue oval fan.

I'm a NASCAR fan and - IMO and based upon my experiences at Charlotte, Taladega, the Brickyard, and TMS - such boorish behavior happens with nearly every race and is reflective of those who personally exhibit it, not of the "NASCAR Nation" as a whole.

It's like Bernardine Dohrn singing the Pledge at a FOP softball game-incongruous.

Too bad Tony won but in a way he worked really hard as an owner and driver and went and did what he needed to do and that is what real life should be about but often is not. I am a #17 fan and was happy he got a top five.

Well, it must be Redneck month for the White House - for their Music parties they are having a Country Music Night coming up shortly.

I think the Obamas know some descriptive demographics for a group of people or two who doesn't support them too strongly and are trying to "reach out to the people".

The reason she was booed was she had just told them they shouldn't be eating hot dogs, and drinking beer...

Hey! Don't leave us female rednecks out. Although I drank red wine during the race, not beer or whiskey, so I had to drink it out of a flimsy plastic cup to stay in the spirit of the NASCAR Nation.

This was a great Chase and great Championship, full of on- and off-track drama, great racing, bold moves and suspense. I appreciate that NASCAR still has an opening prayer and spends a lot of airtime/money saluting our troops. When it comes to racing, I couldn't give a sh%$ about Mrs O and am glad her presence there was only a 5 second focus.

I hear there's gonna be a Coon 'n' Sweet 'Tater Supper right before the election in order to bring in the sidehill voters.

Obama supposedly plays a mean Jews Harp. :D

As much as I personally dislike Obama, I think this was a little over the top. It is another indication of the decline of common courtesy and manners in our country. This is the kind of response I would have expected of the OWS lackeys.

I don't think I could 'cheer' the first lady to this President....silence would have been the proper route...booing was not appropriate.

Apparently Rush Limbaugh had a few extra little pills today and then voiced his opinions on the incident.

I agree with the respect that should be shown to the TITLE of FLOTUS. It is sad that we have come to this as a country that those in these positions do not deserve our respect and many do not feel obligated to give it.

I would not boo her, though I share the sentiments of those that did.

I don't find it surprising and the FLOTUS should not be surprised... given that ACORN hacks are behind all the OWS bullshit.
