View Full Version : First day at the range with the Larue.
I finally got a chance to take the Larue to the range today. I rough zeroed it at 25m initially and then at 100m using a Larue 100m target that represents a silhouette at 300m. Not bad I guess for not picking up a rifle for over 15 years. I REALLY need some practice though. At this range the red dot of the EOTech covered the silhouette from left to right. It was later in the afternoon and the range was shaded which made it harder to see. I'm going to change the gray to black for the next trip out.
Shot a total of 40 rounds in to this target.
Thanks again Sean for inviting me. :)
EDIT: I can't wait to put a scope on this thing.

Looks like you had fun. You do it laying down or on a bench? :munchin
That particular target was a bench using a front bag rest.

Keep full head weight on the stock and your sights should not come off target. You'll get tighter groups. :D
Thanks for the tip. I may change out the stock to get a better cheek weld. It came with a 6-position Magpul MOE Stock.
Of course it doesn't help that I'm getting blind as a bat. :)

Got the same problem. Guys look through my scope and scream in pain from the blur of the reticle burning into their eye. :D

which one is it? OBR 5.56? PredAtar 5.56? Stealth?
I can attest to longrange1947 head weight tip :D Free recoil technique is a no go , even more with a semi-auto on bench
Took the OBR running and gunning the other day. It's not too heavy even with the HDMR. Mag change was tough since it won't free fall after bolt lock. Shooting it sideways under the car with the Surefire break is a sure way to get both the rifle and the shooter covered with dust and dry grass :D

Looks like you still killed it. :D
It's the PreditAR 7.62. :).
Yea, still killed it but I definitely have room for improvement. I'm going to join the club/range so I can get some range time in.
