Gents,

I used to have a bunch of Kamp King knives stuck all over the place for sudden needs. Now I find myself needing similiar knives. Anyone know if they are still available somewhere or something similiar?

I'm not sure about the original Kamp King knives, but the boy scouts have a knife very similar. I did see a few Kamp King knives on ebay after a cursory check there. Allthough they wanted about twice what a new knife from the boy scouts cost.

Another thought would be to commission Mr. Harsey to make you one.

Got one around here somewhere. Had it since I was a kid and it's a little rusty but still works. The only accessory on it I ever really used though was the bottle opener. I have a green plastic handled Bundeswehr pocket knife that's similiar, also have a stainless Camillus. Never really got into the Swiss ones.

Had an engineer on my team once that was really good at survival skills. His favorite "steel" as in flint and steel for firemaking was a carbon steel Kamp King. The SS ones were not fer crap as far as making fire...
