NEW MOVEON.ORG AD SHOWS U.S. SOLDIER IN 'SURRENDER' POSITION

NARRATOR: "Going it alone, George Bush has spent $150 billion dollars, money we need for schools and health care."
CHYRON: "$150 Billion"
NARRATOR: "Now, facing a growing insurgency, he has no real plan to end the war. George Bush got us into this quagmire. It will take a new president to get us out. MoveOn PAC is responsible for the content of this advertisement."
CHYRON: "Quagmire;" MoveOn PAC Disclaimer
Looks like he could be giving directions to the helicopter that's landing that's not in the picture.
He could be celebrating.
hand and arm signal for "Enemy this a way". Also known as "Yeeehaw! Let's get 'em, boyz!"
He is in the water (quagmire), keeping his weapon dry.
He might have to surrender, here in CONUS, if Kerry is elected.
God Bless America and keep her from harm.
LOL it’s quite apparent he’s doing exercises to loosen up and prevent boredom. It’s a good thing the media never took pictures of me working out during Desert Storm….
Just who would he be surrendering to anyway? I’m laughing I find this so stupid… I find it difficult to believe anyone would believe anything the left wing media has to say anymore….
Doesn't CBS fund moveon.org?
Thanks for the post and link.
I read the article and saw the picture. I am totally disgusted that Americans would post that type of garbage. If someone wants to debate the issues and take a side that's fine, but that Soldier in the picture is giving us protection and the ability to debate.
It makes me think they enjoy seeing our guys getting wounded and killed so that they can make their sick points.
These people are totally wrong IMHO.
And the model portraying the soldier in the ad needs to properly position and tie down his protective mask.
Do they think this ad makes people more likely to vote for sKerry?
I must have missed that class, or am not part of their target audience.
This ad disgusts me, then everything about kerry does. When is he going to condemn this one?
Statement by Former Senator Bob Dole
Fri Sep 17 2004 00:39:35 ET
ARLINGTON, VA -- Former Senator Bob Dole issued the following statement:
"As Chairman of the Bush-Cheney Veterans Coalition, and as a veteran, I call on John Kerry to demand that MoveOn.org take down their ad depicting a defeated American soldier.
It's one thing to debate whether we should take the fight to the terrorists, but depicting an American soldier in effect surrendering in the battle against the terrorists is beyond the pale.
I cannot believe that John Kerry, who reminds us daily of his Vietnam service, would possibly approve the disgusting and demoralizing portrayal of American soldiers fighting for us in Iraq, Afghanistan and around the world.
John Kerry has raised doubts about our troops' ability to maintain security as well as Iraqi's ability to decide their own future through elections. He has called the allies in Iraq "window dressing." This is all reminiscent of his appearance before a Senate Committee in 1971 where he suggested with nothing but second hand information American GIs were committing atrocities and war crimes of the worst kind in Vietnam.
This defeatist attitude undermines the great progress and sacrifices of our men and women in the military and the contributions of our allies who are fighting against terror and standing up for freedom around the world.
The politics of pessimism that is being pursued by John Kerry and the extreme liberals demonstrates they are consumed by the past with nothing to offer but attacks on the President's agenda for creating a safer world.
John, say it isn't so and denounce this latest effort to divide Americans"
Hoo-ah, Bob Dole.
..... or am not part of their target audience.
LOL. I believe you are correct.
