Although the White House and DoD are refuting the news, several sources are reporting that OIF and it's offspring, OND, are coming to a close. More to follow.

Having just left OND I would say it is time to let the Iraqi's sink or swim on their own. We have coddled them long enough.

Besides, it seems Iran needs some attention, not that it hasnt for the past 8 years of killing American service members in Iraq...

Perhaps Iraq will fail. However - we are spending money we do not have to prop them up. Better their failure than our own.

By the way - isn't it interesting that Egypt is the world's top importer of wheat? And that they will run out of money in 5 months? I suspect that entire region is going to become interesting. Best not to have our soldiers in the area when things come apart.
