I just sent an email to the parent group of Olive Garden (Darden) letting them know I will no longer patronize their businesses.

I don't eat at Olive Garden but it seems like more of a PPPPPP sort of situation on the part of the local Kiwanis group to me.

I agree, they should hold their meetings/banquets in places that have private rooms for that purpose. I wouldn't patronize a restaurant that allowed organizations to hold such meetings in the public dining areas. Kudo's to the Oxford Olive Garden for caring about the comfort of it's general customers rather than bowing to those whiney Kiwanis Club buffoons.

Hmmm, on both sides.
A number of places around Fayetteville have sections that can be closed off in some way to allow for private meetings and funtions. I would prefer that if I was eating as their meeting was starting.
But I've been at the Olive Garden here in Fayetteville where it looked like an impromtu Hail & Fairwell just got rolling. Started as two tables and then as people showed up the staff added more tables. All the table moving and people standing around was a bit irritating to me as I was trying to eat. I do believe that was the last time I ate there.
Without knowing the availability of other places to eat in the general area - and places that could be sectioned off - I'd have to think on this a bit - but right now kinda' siding with OG.

Translation "We have veterans and families of those serving nearly ripping our ears off". :D
After reading that news article, I'd highly recommend that the Kiwanis Club find a replacement for 80 year old Marti Warren, before it holds anymore meeting or banquets, she's clearly incompetent to make such arrangements.

Probably the same way, no longer patronize OG. Were I outside the USA that could change the situation. More likely not go there either.
