"DANVERS, Mass. — An evening stroll through a corn maze took a confusing turn Monday for a family that became disoriented in the rows of corn and called 911 to ask for help.........................."

I went with Short Round's class of 11 year olds up to the Corn Maze near Sanford on a school trip last fall. Me and a few of the other military related folks showed about 1/2 of the class how to orientate the map, observe the rows and keep track of where they were at. When it started they were off like a shot passing the other kids, hitting all the points, having a great time and finishing well before the others.

It's more fun the shorter you are.

Stupid should be painful. Apparently, these folks endure a LOT of pain.

I'm ashamed to say they're from my home state...

Couldn't they just bust through the corn????

Couldn't they just bust through the corn?

My thoughts exactly - pick a row and just follow it out to the edge of the cornfield and then skirt the field back to where they started - but I grew up in the country and these ffolkes are obviously of the 'On-Star' generation... ;)

And so it goes...

And if it's a solid wall maze, put your hand on a wall and just keep walking your way out.

Not issued:

a compass,
panic azimuth (Any damn direction as long as you stay on it),
reflective belt,
and a Star Cluster.

Obviously, someone forgot the DA 7566!

I watched this this morning and listened to the 911 call. I almost fell out my chair laughing. They asked if her husband was there with her and she said yes. Apparently, he was busy looking in his murse 'cause he was no help at all!

They should have had a warning sign : If you have never been out of the city, this field may be hazardous to you self-esteem!

Well, that corn maze sure got alot of publicity...."It's so good, you have to call 911 to get out"...

"And so it goes..."

Per Richard..

Went to my first corn maze this weekend. 12 acres worth of corn, square shapped with a high tension power line in the middle, mature forest on two sides, driveway on third side, and highway on fourth side. Inside the maze were men with their smart phones displaying an Aerial view, google maps, GPS ETC...

Even my 5 year old said "what do they need that for, you can see the trees".

Some people really are too stupid to be allowed to reproduce.

Turn the baby over to the state and report for neutering.
