Great pics, Thank You.

Never quite realized looking at the business end of a Cobra, how slim the frontal profile is.

Damn good design. Only a few inches wider than the crew.

Hey Bob -

My mom had one of those sixties hairdos' up thru the mid 80's.

When pops took her out on a Saturday night, she'd wear a smokin hot cocktail dress, (black, open back), perils, long gloves, hand purse. My old man in a tux, cuff links, etc. I'd ask, "where ya goin?" he'd answer, "Just dinner, a woman needs to feel pretty and take the room."

I miss seeing them at that age, total class.

I understand your wife has remained pretty, you on the other hand friend have just gotten old.

Bob, Here are a couple pics you may remember..

December 1969, FB Jamie, A big bunker stash found in our AO.

I don't have the names, but I believe this is a pic of the Cav ADC and BN staff??

Do you know the young studly at parade rest in the background??

Thanks! I've got a few pics of Jamie in the box. I'll get to them eventually.
I wonder if that's the pile we hauled outside the berm and blew up in February or March. It was a whopper of an explosion. Col Hannas chewed my ass for that one.

I miss those days. Same thing for my mom and dad when he would take her to dinner at the officer's club in Taipei.

Remember well when people actually dressed-up to ride an airplane. :)

I'll put them on my website when I get them all done. It'll take me a while. There's about 150 of them.

Home sweet home.;)

And to think,, after a couple weeks outside the wire, we were very happy to come HOME to this small island of human comforts...

55 gal drum showers
55 gal drum outhouse with ode de diesel sanitation essence
55 gal drum rifle baths that semi-penetrate the built up gunk
igloo can culinary delights some begrudgingly refereed to as editable food
small tastefully built hooches built of 105mm boxes filled with dirt
with various PETS crawling around your head at night

But the piece de resistance: the Mad-Minute. Where we would expend more ammo in 60 seconds than we did in any 3-4 actual contacts. My ears still ring with pride...

Here's the minigun we salvaged from a Loach and mounted on a jeep. Neither the gun nor the jeep existed officially.;)

Isn't that the one that would tip over if it wasn't fire directly to the rear??

No, it worked surprisingly well. It was used all night when the firebase up by the border got hit. Stopped the ground assault cold.
Capt. Ketter got blown off the jeep twice while firing it.
It would jam if you weren't careful with the feed button.

I think it was FSB Atkinson where the gun jeep came in handy. April of '70.

I think in one of the pictures in this thread you can make out a 4 wheel mule in the lower left corner........

..........but were you talking about the 4 legged one? :D
