This article (http://www.cnn.com/2011/09/27/world/americas/mexico-video/) talks about the recent video where masked men claim there is a paramil group who will target Los Zetas. It goes on to make comparisons to other previous groups who were really just splinters of the known cartels.

I wonder if this is a vigilantly group, a Mexican government group, or just Sinaloas jumping on an opportunity?

All the above.

Tough economic times and a poor outlook of better opportunities have caused young men to pimp out their own sisters.

I don't know WD. The Mexican economy is actually doing fairly well (comparatively (http://www.economist.com/node/21526899)) and even immigration to the US is down.

Time will tell I suppose.

Then its just greed, and a lack of respect for life.

I've heard of them for a few years as far as my state goes. Hearsay around these parts coincide with what you were commenting: That they are a drug cartel that didn't like it when the Zetas came around enforcing an almost feudal age business of extorsion.

I hate the fact that there's so much censorship and media control here(Mexico) to really get an educated opinion through local media, they seem to use fear to keep us ignorant and docile!

I hope the Mata Zetas are as effective against the Zetas as Los Pepe's were against Escobar...
