Although I don't think he'll be POTUS, he sure did speak for a majority of us.

I have always thought Newt had a sharp intellect and ability to define a problem. I, too, would vote for him if the Republicans nominated him but he has a lot of personal baggage that will keep him from being nominated...

Dear H,

Tonight, President Obama will address a joint session of Congress on his plan to create jobs. To date, the President has shown very little leadership toward fixing our economy, implementing job-killing policies and blaming America’s problems on his predecessor.

This evening also marks the beginning of the NFL season. I invite you to join me at half-time of the 8:30pm ET Green Bay Packers v. New Orleans Saints game tonight to discuss how quickly real leadership can turn around a bad situation – even one as dire as the Obama economy.

I am looking forward to the game and to speaking with you,

Dial in on Thursday night at the beginning of half-time:

Like Mark, I would love to see Newt get the nomination, I would vote for him in a heart beat! Also like Mark said, he has soooo much political baggage that will probably never happen. I believe he would also be the catalyst the libs will be looking for to "re-energize" their base if he were to be nominated. They hate him with a passion.

If the group on stage last night WOULD band together to an extent, as Newt seems to want, they could blow BOH out of the water and draw the "Moderates" and independents back to the right.

I missed the debate last night, but will be paying attention to the Exalted One tonight! I want to see if he actually says anything specific!

More government spending and extensions of payments to those not working.

After all it's for the children

Agree with you Sir!

Though Newt is a human being, admitantly not perfect, but still, very intelligent on any political front, INHO.

All purchases at Tiffany's aside, I like his stance on helping the disabled, like my sis. I also like his stance on guns, the military, and America's Constitution, which is usually o-mitted from the MSM's projection of his background.

JMHO, which is worth, in present company, about zero.:o

I agree, Newt is a self-serving, unfeeling dick. But he is a smart one and that is why the Left hates and fears him...

I agree with you. I can see Newt as a chief of staff, or dare I say it ... dare, dare ..... V.P. But Chief of Staff would be a better fit for him.

I don't think he'd fit well as SecState. He's too much involved in Beltway politics than over seas issues. But I can see him placed somewhere in the next GOP administration.

Actually don't think he needs or particularly desires a public role in a new Republican administration. At this stage, if he & Sarah Palin can keep the party from eating its young and focused at the real target, he'll have served a fine purpose. An occasional advisor perhaps; CofS typically is filled by someone with a closer personal relationship to whoever gets elected.

I'd like to see a candidate get up and pledge an end to 'czars' and say, in effect, "I don't need 'em; I, and the American people, have cabinet secretaries - if they don't do their job, their rucksack goes in the hall."

Media’s Love Affair with Obama
From: Newt Gingrich <campaign@newtgingrichforpresident.org>Add to Contacts
To: xxxxxxxx

Dear H,

Remember when Chris Matthew’s shared with us in 2008 that he felt a “thrill up [his] leg” every time he heard the words of then candidate Barack Obama?

Well, three years and millions of lost jobs later, the media still can’t hide their love for Obama.

Just days ago, Chuck Todd, the Chief White House Correspondent for NBC News, said on TV that NBC’s “pollsters are concerned” about the president’s approval rating. Said Todd: “That’s kind of numbers you have when the public starts to give up on a president as a problem solver.”

Because the public is giving up on Obama’s failed policies, the media is fast becoming anxious and concerned.

Is it any wonder then that the media would rather haveRepublican candidates fighting each other than offering alternatives to President Obama’s disastrous policies? A new Rasmussen poll shows that 73% of all voters believe that is exactly what is happening. Only 16% believe that the media is more interested in where presidential candidates stand on the issues.”

I refuse to play along with the media’s “let’s all protect Obama” script, which is exactly what I said in Wednesday night’s presidential debate.

My plan is to continue offering a vision for the country and solutions to America’s problems.

To remind Americans what makes America exceptional.

To advance a proven plan to get Americans back to work and return power and responsibility back to the States in the spirit of the Tenth Amendment.

To defend America.

Your friend,

Newt
