I saw the man you are talking about Guy; F.A.
He's a very intelligent, highly motivated individual and is a key author of trauma instruction taught presently at the SOMTB. Word was he conducted research from every conflict since the Crimean war to the present in his quest for the right techniques/approaches for saving lives on the battlefield. Must not have been too shabby a work for all of the different services represented at the SOMTB to sign their hack on it. One would need monumental research completed and the patience of a Saint to go through those different committees.
I like to think I work hard at research in my chosen endeavor but F.A. set the standard for hard, sustained work in my book. He set the standard and then kept raising the bar. I'm glad I went through the training years ago, it sounds like a real bear now.
F.A. is a vocal individual, but as someone else so succintly stated, "it ain't bragging if you can actually do it".
