Shoes/Boots

Hi

Has anyone tried using Salomon adventure shoes for general hikes and operations or...are the shoes too bright or flimsy? They are extremely popular with adventure racers in Eco Challenge and Raid Gauloises.

Just curious, given leather boots are a bit more of a hinderance I would imagine

I wont and cant speak for the professionals in here, but from my own experiences i need the support and not least, the protection a solid boot gives me.

I've got a pair of the solomans but they are to flashy. My new favorite shoe is the Danner agitator 45. I think the danners are the best made shoe that I've ever bought. I can easily see these lasting a while.
