Even if the districts are redrawn to be heavily Republican he'll have a hard row to hoe.
Because of her "situation" she'll have the MSM in her pocket and the sympathy vote.
Any slight comment on her record and he'll be hammered for picking on the little girl with the head wound.
It will take a careful campaign with no loose cannons on the staff.

My sympathies to the Congress-person and her family,,
BUT let's kick the dead horse (meta-physically of course),, :D
She has had a life altering wound of massive proportions. I think she may slip away to permanent convalescents, at the end of this term, if not sooner..
Being able to show up for a push the button vote does not a Congress-critter make..
The deal would be to "retire" as soon as possible to allow a successor to be appointed. One that can get up to speed and run a good campaign for the next election..
As the space program is out of money,, I would bet even money her hubby would be appointed to replace her??
