I think maybe I'd better go to this little panel discussion at my Lincoln Club chapter tonight. I'll be late, but I think I can get there before it's over . . .
JOHN O’NEILL
Author of “Unfit For Command”
John O’Neill served in the United States Navy from 1967 to 1971, earning two bronze stars for valor. While in the Navy, he served in Coastal Division 11 in Vietnam and took command of PCF 94, John Kerry’s Swift Boat, after Kerry’s departure. Outraged by Kerry’s anti-war slanders against his fellow veterans, O’Neill faced Kerry in a famous debate in the Dick Cavett Show in 1971 refuting Kerry’s accusations of rampant American war crimes in Vietnam. In 1974, O’Neill clerked for Justice William Rehnquist at the U.S. Supreme Court. He has been practicing law in Houston, Texas for nearly 30 years.
LT. COL. ROBERT “BUZZ” PATTERSON,
(USAF, RET.)
Author of “Reckless Disregard”
Raised in a family of conservative Democrats, Lt. Col. Patterson served his country with distinction. A senior ranking officer in the Clinton White House, Patterson is a combat veteran with five tours of duty. Lt. Col. Patterson is the author of the New York Times bestseller Dereliction of Duty. In his shocking new book, Patterson reveals the poor military leadership of President Clinton and forecasts future threats if John Kerry is elected to be our next president. Patterson—assigned to carry the “nuclear football” for President Clinton—learned first-hand of the Democrats’ reckless disregard for the American military. In his new book, he details the negligence and the abuses by both Clinton and Carter—and points out how John Kerry’s policies will put us, once again, in harm’s way.
I'll give a full report if I can get over there.
