I have one of the subject pistols (Walther P99 QA Trigger Pull) in 9mm. The trigger pull is 8.5 pounds, with a relatively short pull length. Weight and distance are constant for all rounds.
Trigger pull adjustment appears to be ill advised. There are a few things lurking about the internet that suggest the amputation of a coil on a certain spring will get the job done - but I have my doubts about whether that is wise.
I have contacted the factory to get their views. I suspect they will tell me something like "Don't you dare!". Maybe they're right.
So...
Q1: Any thoughts on the notion of reducing the trigger pull in terms of whether it is practical to do so?
Q2: Any thoughts on whether a concealed carry weapon should have the pull reduced from 8.5 pounds to 5 pounds, ala the Glock?
Thanks as always!
