I have been training shooting the 9 Hole Drill. I was wondering if firing your rifle from a 90 degree cant will it change ballistics? For those that dont understand what I am talking about please look at the rectangular loop holes. Thanks in advance

The only change that I have to correct for when changing the orientation of my rifle with an ACOG Reflex, is that depending on the yardage I have to account for the point of aim, point of impact. IE: ACOG is sighted for zero at 100 yds, as I move closer I have to elevate my point of aim. For a bridal band shot at 25 yds, my red dot is at the very top of the head, at 50 it is mid forehead. If the rifle is at 90 degrees right or left, I have to adjust further right at closer yardages if the plane of the rifle is 90 deg right...and to the left respectively. I hope that makes sense....anyone else can chime in and make clarifications/corrections as needed. As for ballistics.....someone else can give a much better answer, but my muzzle velocity does not change, however, bullet trajectory will.

Sorry about the deletion. I was trying to edit and nothing was happening the way that I wanted it to. I have since figured out "my problem" with editing but the post is no longer there and I am not in the mood, nor do I have the time to rewrite it. So here is a link to an article that also provides visual aids to assist you.
