My contract expired last year and I have been on the hunt for a new "smart phone",, At my age,, the added brain power is welcome..

So,, pulled the trigger on a HTC Incredible 2.

I do not plan to use this as a laptop, but will experiment with the apps that access the web. Loaded Drudge, FoxNews, FB, and a 1/2 doz others.

Read TR's thread from last year and it appears that Android & Verizon have come a long way.

I picked the HTC I2 for the following

GSM World phone, Verizon will un-lock it so I can use my Orange SIMM in the UK
Front & rear camera's, We can Skype video to our kids(currently not working)
Un-Limited Plan,, got in under the wire, will use WIFI 95% of the time..
WIFI, WIFI hot spot, Blue-teeth, PC pass-thur via USB cable to internet
SD card slot, so I can load our camera pics to the web and move data from/to the PC
It is not an apple

I used the "internet" app to access PS.com.

Did not signed in,, the font is soooo small..

"How Small Is It??"

It's so small that if the page wasn't black I would not be able to see the PS.com title bar & DUI.. The rest of the text is a series of illegible white dots.

In talking to my #2 daughter,, she thinks the site HTML may need tweaking to let it recognize the Android platform and re-size the fonts as needed.

Anyone having the same problem?? Suggestions??

I have an old HTC Touch Pro 2, which uses a Windows operating system, and I have to manually increase the font size on this site every time I get on with my smartphone. It's a pretty quick fix on my phone. I wonder if this is just an HTC problem?

I have a Droid X and it works fine for the internet, but like you I find the font very small. I would suggest you use a notepad as a mininum for use on the internet. The best thing about smart phones is the access to email.

Try downloading an app called "Dolphin HD." It's a browser replacement and it makes it easier to view websites not meant to be viewed on cell phones. When browsing difficult to read websites, I keep my phone turned sideways and use zoom functions a lot.

Also for a more minimal browser option, "Steel" is great.

Also companies have to design websites for phones separate than for computers in order for them to display properly.

I have the original HTC Incredible and yes, the font is small. You can double-tap the screen to zoom in on the default browser which should help a bit, another option(as previously mentioned) is to install another browser, take a look at the mobile version of Firefox(http://www.mozilla.com/en-US/mobile/), it does have some font smoothing abilities which do help a bit as well.

TS, just a suggestion, you might want to look at Tapatalk(http://www.tapatalk.com/, there seems to be something funky with their site at the moment though) with PS, if you think mobile readership/posting is on the rise, it's a mobile app designed for easy mobile to forum interaction.

I've got the HTC7 windows phone, use it to manage work servers remotely and access the internet so I can be cool like my peers. Do that little finger thingy to expand the screen and it's easy to read and type.

I got the Torch this last year, carried the Curve for two years. Really missing my flip phone, that interestingly enough, just made and received calls.

Some day I'll carry nothin', and get back to simplier times.

Try the Opera browser. It's in the market. In the options, you can tell it to reformat webpages for "mobile view." That helps out a lot, both here and across the street.

Aside from that, I may try my hand at writing apps soon...if the admins give permission, I'll see what I can do about a ps.com app.
