SFC Ronald D. Haskins passed away at his home on June 28, 2011.

For those that knew him, he was ever dedicated to the perfection of motion and movement. A skilled martial artist and a master of hand-to-hand CQB.

He was a fellow SF Medic and a friend in the 1st SFG(A), Fort Lewis, WA during the 90's and early 00's. After 9/11, Ron departed the Army to follow his dream of helping others fight terrorism in the federal and civilian law enforcement communities. He was a true warrior spirit and his departure is our loss.

Rest In Peace Ron, your tour of duty is over...gone but not forgotten.

He was an instructor at a week long course I attended in Playas, NM when I was in the Army. He was a top notch instructor, and when he found out that myself and the guys in my unit had nothing to do in our off time, he went out and bought us a basketball. That was in 2007, and I still carry that basketball in the trunk of my cruiser. Super nice guy, RIP.

Gone,but not forgotten.

God Bless,Rest in Peace Warrior.....:(

He was just a simple soldier and his ranks are growing thin
But his presence should remind us; we may need his like again,
For when countries are in conflict, then we find the soldier's part
Is to clean up all the troubles that the politicians start.
If we cannot do him honor while he's here to hear the praise,
Then at least let's give him homage at the ending of his days.......:(

Perhaps just a simple headline in the paper that might say:
OUR COUNTRY IS IN MOURNING, FOR A SOLDIER DIED TODAY. (author unknown)

The passing of our soldiers often go unnoticed and unsung by most of the world, remembered only by family and friends. Wish it were not so. May he RIP, his family will be in my thoughts and prayers.........:(
