Been doing it for a long time. New "cowboys" - new blanks or somebody messed with the guns and loads?

I use to do the Civil War reenactments. I always worried about some Reenactor crossing the line from pretend to insanity. Some of those guys got into it to the point of uncomfortable sometimes. But it was a blast doing it.

WAG,, My money is on the powder wad or what ever they topped off the BP charge with. If it had been BULLETS, all the anti-gun MSM would be screaming..

The felt wads I use in my 1860 Army repro penetrate a paper target in 20 ft.
