Here are your new M67's. They are exactly the same as the M67, which is a shame IMHO. These have perfect markings all around the top as you can see and the serial number on top of the spoon are perfect too. The only difference that I ca see is that where the fuse meets the body of the grenade itself their is an extra ring around it. Just because it is made in the USA doesn't always mean it will work better. We should of went the way SEAL Team 6 went when it was their turn to watch Karzi. They were using Germany's new grenades with circular balls in any size you would want. Take note of my avatar. This a Switzerland made hand grenade that they are exporting with the various sizes of small ball bearings. All they do, right after it is to form them into the body and spray an a poxy type of paint. It is completely a sealed grenade and no moisture will ruin it. This is what we should be adopting. Again IMHO and $.02 worth.
Or have I made a mistake and placed this in the wrong forum?

Is that the RUAG in the photo. They are similar to the Austrian grenades (i think they are the "Karzi" ones you mentioned). Do you know what type and how much explosive they use? I've been told the M67 still has more "concussion effect" due to the comp B. I have a buddy who carries m67's in the village and Austrian grenades in the shrubbery. The bearings provide more penetration through foliage. I think soldiers should have a selection of grenades to suit his mission to include WP.
It is definitely is. Good work. This is the one in my avatar. Notice the different size in small bearings it can come with. Unfortunately it doesn't use a wave shaper like some other more modern, Grenades such as the German frags. I think you are confusing German for Austria. It appears that Austria has similarities to the German ones.. The Germans have done their homework with their series. I will have to dig up the article which shows Seal Team 6 and his grenade he has stuck in his belt.
This new grenade that is pictured here is really not different than the ones of today. Same Comp B, same inside as you closely look at the body of the grenade. It does appear to be a better shaped grenade. More of an actual old M67. This is probably geared towards people who have played Baseball any certain amount of time. Excellent chance to hit the target at a good distance. That is the only thing I can see at this moment.
Oh OK, The stenciling is at the top and not the side. This should guarantee that none of it will rub off and as well the top of the spoon. It looks like that is etched onto spoon. It also has a spacer between the the fuse and the body of the grenade like I have stated before.

What he meant was what he said. Most of us BTDT FOGs are concerned with where a fish can be caught, an elk can be shot or whether we will run out of beer on Thursday or can stretch it to Friday before we have to go to the store. The latest hand grenade technology is not something of immense concern to us. Therefore we perceive your avatar as an object likely to be found in a tattoo/ piercing shop. :D

I have never seen a grenade that looked like that. Goes to prove, You learn something new everyday if you pay attention.
Now imagine a chair if your knees bent the other way.
I get it, I GET IT! I am a little touchy because I break the half-century mark next month, and things are starting to fail. But I am very:lifter fit, I believe then I was 49. At least I am not wearing "Depends" around Yet!!:boohoo

Preformed fragments are nice, and certainly would be an improvement but I'd like to see a plastic or other material used for the fuze, body, etc that will not travel 50+m in one large piece creating a serious friendly casualty risk.
That's the biggest shortcoming of current issue US grenades IMO/IME, uneven fragmentation. I witnessed a grenade explosion where a piece of the fuze struck a Marine 35m+ from the blast seat, which is the reason for this opinion. S/F....Ken M
