I am looking for any information from LEO's in California who may have dealt with a recent case involving stolen valor. Without getting into confidential details, the individual was claiming everything under the sun (to include SF/Ranger), along with a bronze star with a valor device, a purple heart, and several campaign medals. These were not just verbal exchanges; he's been wearing and claiming the actual devices to intimidate others. I will talk specifics on PM's if you have input.

Helpful information would be useful CID contacts or anything that would assist local law enforcement in pushing this forward (especially any recent case law decisions). It appears the 9th Circuit COA thinks this is okay, but their decision may be being appealed.

I have plenty of pics. Nothing was written. He just made statements to his "tenants."
