Most appreciated. Having just finished going through chemo for my own son, I know that this stuff makes a HUGE difference! He's already got one SOG guy liking his FB page, I'm hoping for a lot more.

I tried to send a shout out but it said it might not take. If it don't I'll try again tomorrow. I tears my heart out when kids get sick.

Sir, I may not know you by name or face but I hope it brings just a sliver of solace when I say that you and your son will be in my thoughts and prayers. I to am dealing with cancer at the moment but it's a type that seems to have a very high cure rate. Just hearing that word from a medical professional makes me shutter.

I wish the best to you and yours.

We'll pray for you too. Medical advances in this area have been amazing -- I would be dead if I had what my son had when I was a kid. My son is in remission and hopefully it won't come back.

Thank you for sharing Jackson's story and your own.
Made me hug my daughter a little bit tighter tonight. Sent Jackson a note. Best wishes to your family as well.

Done...

GBM is very difficult to treat and is very rare in children. The thing I hate about brain tumors is that even if remission/cure is obtained, there are often very severe after-effects from the surgery and treatments.

We've got a few similar patients in my AO. Prayers and support out for this boy and his family.

The strength, grace and determination demonstrated by these children is humbling, and their battle can bring out the best and the worst in their families.

As a cancer survivor for almost ten years now, I know somewhat about this but, couldn't imagine having to watch one of my children go through this. Thanks for the link, I was able to send a message of support.

Prayers go out to this family and Fight on Jackson.....jd

RL....thanks for the heads-up about this little warrior. Shout-out sent. Prayers are out for Jackson and his family....and for yours.

Events likes this bring a tear to a FOG's eye, and inspires me to never let a day go by without a hug and encouragement to my five grandchildren.

I am really sorry I missed this thread (connection and computer issues for a while) but I am happy to read your latest post RL.

And I hope all is good lately with your son.

Great news and I also wish I'd seen this thread earlier.

RL, I posted to Jackson's website and will keep him in my prayers. Same goes for you and your son as well. I've got two little ones about Jackson's age, it's hard for me to imagine one of them going through that.

BB, I'm 6 years removed from cancer (in my case "1-Bravo" = 1-Ball). Just from this short thread, it seems as though quite a few here may be able to relate to what you're going through. Don't hesitate to reach out if you ever need to. Prayers out and I'll keep you in my thoughts.
