What does the asterix "*" beside a user name on the Who's Online return list denote?

The * indicates that you are in "Ghost or Invisible " Mode. Your presence here is only seen by yourself and the Admins. This option can be changed at the User/CP.

I was under the impression that 'invisible mode' was going to be prohibited?
