Well, I guess I'd better get my head outta my ass and get busy.

Hail literally destroyed everything but the onions up here, and they ain't lookin' too good, either. :D

I had two arroyos form up the hill behind me and flow down around either side of the cabin, so it could have been worse-no flood damage-and it's evidently too hilly for twisters up here, as well...They were all to the west.

My patch looks like a small, square tinaja-first thing to do is drain it, then start packing in some decent soil to replace everything than washed down to the creek.

Now for the drought and pestilence...:D

You could do like the farmers along the Mississippi.. Plant down by the creek where your soil wash-out. Take advantage of the arroyo soil "engineering" technique??

They have traded the annual flood problems for access to good rich fertile soil that is replenished each yr.. AND FEMA (your tax money at work) pays them to get flooded out..

It's a Win-lose-Win game... :lifter
