It occurs to me that that sort of information could also be used to make a poser more credible.
I don't think this is a good idea.

Wouldn't that be a case of you calling the kettle black? As a guest, and a person who has never served in the military, I wouldn't think you have the best credentials to champion this subject.
I would love to read your pamphlet on "How to Win the Super Bowl" though as I have never been able to win one so far on my own,,,

Richard --- Thanks for book info going to read them.
Reaper -- good thought didn't think about it in those terms --
Blue -- Not sure if it is pot calling kettle black since I am not claiming any experience etc.
I don't think military experience is a prereq to championing a cause such as this. Is it wrong to try and find out as much information as possible so I can be prepared when it is time confront a poser? If I am ever in a bar and hear someone bragging about being SF I will have the knowledge I need to verify his credentials.
