I'm surprised the Secret Service didn't waterboard the 13 year old or send him to Gitmo....
I'm sure the Teleprompter Reader of the United States sleeps well at night knowing these sort of Secret Service agents are on duty......
We are a nation of cowards.
"I just about lost it," she said. "My 13 year-old son is supposed to be safe and secure in his classroom and he's being interrogated without my knowledge or consent privately."
The seventh grader said that once his mom showed up, the agent finished the interview and told him he was not in any trouble. Now he's more careful about what he posts online.
Unfrinkin believable!!!!!!! We are worried about a 13 Y/o?? I think we have bigger problems within our borders than this kid.
Learning curve for all Vteens and Teens!!
Another "Officer Friendly" story.
Folks wake up - a police state is coming.
The asshats at the SS knew who the kid was and knew where he went to school. I would assume since they are the SS they could figure out how old he was, who his parents were and where everybody lived. Gone to the home and talked with him and his parents in the evening.
But no - the Gestapo technique is much more sexy. I bet the Agents got all pumped about the "Operation" and needed to go to a bar somewhere and burn off the excess energy while they tell their "War Story" to some bimbo.
Bet it went something like - "Saved the President today. Had to deal with a real bad dude."
There isn't currently any law that prohibts the police or federal agencies from questioning your minor child without your presence or knowledge, although they have to be told of their right not to answer questions and their right to counsel. ....................
What was it that guy said on Jurasic Park? "Just because we can doesn't mean we should".
How would all you parents feel if your kid got off the bus and said they were interrogated by LEO's at school?
As a side note - I hope parents are friends with their kids on FB and know what they are posting. And to the kids post - I read that as "Concern" not "Threat".
I operate in military LE, navy branch. With us, you CANNOT question a minor without consent from his legal guardian. Is it any different in the civilian world? Does SS have a waiver for that? If not, wouldn't that be straight illegal ?:confused:

When has that stopped the current Administration thus far?
mmmhm, I guess it hasn't yet, given your comment.
I live and work in Italy, Sicily. I have to admit that I'm not thoroughly versed in daily issues in CONUS.

How long will it be before you get interrogated for just "thinking" shit?
Fuckin' Country's gone to shit already.

I wouldn't live someplace where I felt that way about it.

So Richard, what is the policy in your neck of the woods on something like this? Treated the same way as abortions for 14 year olds "Shh, the parents don't need to know."?
I wouldn't live someplace where I felt that way about it.
Richard :munchin
Well, you don't have to leave, 'cause your man won in '08.:p
I'm staying because we can and will turn this bullshit around.
FWIW - I don't agree with how the SS or the school handled this one - that agent's SA regarding the credibility of the 'threat' from a 13 YO JHS student, and the school's apathy towards 'reasonably' protecting the student and his family, sucked.
As far as CPS matters go, there are a variety of different issues and laws regarding those.
And I'm still pissed that the Democrat and the Republican Parties forced me to exercise my responsibility as a citizen to vote for the likes of John McCain and Sarah Palin. ;)

Let's see who the Repubs put up against Joe and BHO next year before we make that kind of statement.

It will be Romney.
It will be Romney.
I can vote for him.
No real winners this year in my opinion. Just the lessor of 2 evils and just about ANYONE is the lesser of the current man in that position.

I can vote for him.
I won't.
Might as well let BHO keep screwing things up for four more years and let the Dims take the blame.
