I was surprised (pleasantly) to see this as a "Picture of the week" :lifter
Caption reads:
A U.S. soldier with the 10th Special Forces Group and his dog leap off the ramp of a CH-47 Chinook helicopter.
The link may not last...but here (http://wtop.com/?nid=865&sid=2253778)it is.

It's an Army PAO shot from 10th SFG(A)'s recent Emerald Warrior 11 participation. It actually made the AKO "cool guy" photo on the intro page a couple of months ago.

Dogs are great on the OBJ.. Outside of the "bomb Dogs". Locals hate them and they work very well.

Ah man I didn't even catch the auto correct on the phone.
I meant to say "does the dog get to SIT shotgun in the cobra?".
I have no idea why the iPhone autocorrected that one to become shit. Haha sorry about that

Pronto, a Special Operations Forces Multi Purpose Canine, successfully jumped out of a CH-47, Chinook helicopter during Emerald Warrior training exercise at Hurlburt Field, Florida in this March 1, 2011 photograph. This was the first time a dog jumped with a team, allowing members to utilize him in real world situations.
A friend sent me this link with pictures of US service dogs, including Sonic and Pronto..
