Or until the Seals leak them for us. Can't offend those Muslims can we. The only thing those savages can understand is a picture. We were strong for a couple of days. Now we resume our roles as big Pussies.

When you run for office, I am going to write your first campaign contribution check.

Obama was perfectly happy to release photos of military coffins returning from overseas or photos of prisoner "abuse", but God forbid we release a photo of a dead terrorist.

I would Shit if it did happen. But he is dead.
BUT! The whole mission has the feel of a Jessica Lynch it was handed to me on a Silver Platter Mission feel to it. Something just rubs me the wrong way. We were decreasing the drone strikes because Pakistan was bitching. Then we do this. Something just feels wrong.

Here's a question. How can you have two separate photos of different individuals that were taken at the same time (to the second) unless you have synced video or camera equipment (never seen that done).

Photos of 3 indivuals killed in the compound (http://www.liveleak.com/view?i=d3b_1304540048)

Why would paki security force be inclined to conceal the wreckage? You think they did that on their own or perhaps requested by people who write the checks to good ole Pakistan?

"The exact type of helicopter is unknown but it appears to be a highly modified version of an H-60 Blackhawk. Photos disseminated via the European PressPhoto agency and attributed to an anonymous stringer show that the helicopter’s tail features stealth-configured shapes on the boom and the tail rotor hub fairings, swept stabilizers and a “dishpan” cover over a five-or-six-blade tail rotor. It has a silver-loaded infrared suppression finish similar to that seen on V-22s."Remainder of the article:

Another gem from that article posted above:

U.S. acknowledgment on Tuesday that bin Laden was unarmed when shot dead had raised accusations Washington had violated international law. The exact circumstances of his death remained unclear and could yet fuel controversy, especially in the Muslim world.

Anyone else care? I do not. He's dead.

If anything it should be celebrated that he was unarmed, puts a big CTRL B on the 'fuck you'.

In today's world of photoshop manipulation and rampant conspiracy theorist conjecturing, why is it deemed so important to so many to almost voyeuristically demand to see such a photo? Does it really matter and will it ever resolve the doubters paranoia even if one is posted?

Personally, I think not. "Let it go. Let...it...go." ;)

@Richard: I agree with you, Sir. A person fanatically convinced that Osama is not dead will disregard all evidence without proper objective analysis.

I recall some of the dicussion about the Wikileaks ordeal in these forums, and I remember they mentioned that at times certain things are kept confidential for a reason. Some would agree that this is one of those times.

I am not qualified in the world of counterterrorism to criticize the state of global security, but somehow I doubt this man's death solves all of the problems in the Middle East and elsewhere. If there's still work to do, people shouldn't linger too much over political technicalities.

While I do not dis-agree with this line of thought Richard, I find post #1 of this thread to be a pretty accurate too.
If they are going to stick with their strategy by trying not to incite an outbreak of attacks on U.S. citizens here on U.S. soil or abroad fine.
But... If they are not releasing the pictures to protect my 'wittty bitty eye's' from the 'gruesome' nature of the pictures they are wrong on many levels. Especially with all the crap that is on T.V. during prime time that so many kids are exposed to, not to mention what they see on the WWW.

I think they should have shown video of dipping the body in pig blood, wrapping it in bacon, and kicking it over the side of the carrier deck before the whole crew took turns pissing on the body. That would send the right message IMO. And maybe put up a sign, "if you're in al Qaeda, you're next on our list."

Don't need to release photos of the body.

Since they scoured the place for intel, I'll take photo evidence of medical supplies in the house.
Specifically, was their any dialysis equipment, fresh dialysate, and used dialysate?

What room was used to keep supplies?
If he was holed up there, he would certainly have ample food and medical supplies.

Maybe his medical stuff was destroyed some time ago...(9 years perhaps).
