View Full Version : 60mm mortar build
has anyone done a 60mm mortar build? I am being told there is no protrusion gage for the firing pin. So my question is does anyone have the specs on a brand new pin?

nor that neat little thigh saddle and leather glove to fire from the kneeling position.....:D (it's good to have 18B and 18D skillz)
Any former 11B-S and most 18Bs know the M1 base plate is not a "thigh saddle"
"The 60mm M19 could be used as a direct fire weapon by attaching the small M1 base plate to the barrel. This reduced the mortar weight substantially, and greatly lowered the weapon profile in the open during fluid engagements. The idea for this weapon originated in the deadly Japanese "knee mortar" of WWII. (It wasn't fired from the knee. Doing that would break your leg.)"
I'm ready to watch a demo if anyone cares to show me how its done:munchin
