Florida is in the process of changing Concealed carry to UN-Concealed,, with permit. We will go back to where we were 40 yrs ago when I first moved down..

The part about open carry is great, as I have mentioned a couple times that it is not easy to hide my Dessert Eagle in my Speedo's..

Another little change in this:

CS/CS/HB 517 repeals s. 790.28, F.S., which limits Florida residents to the
purchase of rifles and shotguns in contiguous states. As a result, Florida
residents will be permitted to purchase rifles and shotguns in any state
(not just contiguous states) so long as:

- The transferee meets in person with the transferor to accomplish the
transfer; and

- The sale, delivery, and receipt fully comply with the legal conditions of
sale in both such states.

Can someone talk to the AFT impact on a state law like this?? The last statement says "both states" without mention of any federal regs??

I understand that FL is attempting to bring it's statutes in line with revised federal requirements.

The bill analysis regarding the section that you inquired about is located at link below - page 7 of the bill analysis speaks to the rationale for the proposed changes and the footnotes of the analysis provide support to applicable citations:
