A couple months back, a guy on my dorm floor had some friends and family from home stop by. I got to talking with one of them who looked to be in his early fifties. He mentioned he was in the Army. I asked him what he did and he told me he was in the Special Forces. Without another word he went on to say that he traveled all over the world doing special reconnaissance and "political assassination". I do not wish to inquire about the nature of any missions that the QPs participate in. If it hasn't been made public, it isn't any of my business. My question here is should I suspect this guy of being a poser? To me, any sort of political assassination that the U.S. government participated in would be a closely guarded secret. Which leads me to believe that this guy isn't telling the truth.
The next time you see him ask "So you were in Special Forces? Cool. What Group where you in?"
"Oh, you were Special Duty and not assigned to a Group." "When did you go through Training Group?" "Oh, you were hand picked and didn't need to go through training." "Any friends in SF?" "Oh, they are all dead."
Maybe he knows our friend the Black Ops COL.
Which leads me to believe that this guy isn't telling the truth.

Thank you for the clarification sirs. I'll make sure to question him further should I run into him again. He claims to be pursuing a Masters in Divinity Degree. If he's ever read the Bible he would know that people who lie about who they are for personal gain don't fare well.

Need to find out about the "Political assassinations". From what I see he's been killing the wrong politicians.
He claims to be pursuing a Masters in Divinity Degree.
I wish him well in confectionery school. I love that stuff - here's my favorite.
Mama's Divinity
Ingredients
4 cups sugar
1 cup white corn syrup
3/4 cup cold water
3 egg whites
1 teaspoon pure vanilla
2 cups chopped pecans
Directions
In a heavy saucepan over medium heat, stir together the sugar, corn syrup, and water. Stir only until sugar has dissolved. Do not stir after this point. Cook syrup mixture until it reaches 250 degrees F on a candy thermometer, bringing it to a hard ball stage.
While the syrup is cooking, beat the egg whites until stiff peaks form. Once the sugar mixture reaches 250 degrees F, carefully pour a slow steady stream of syrup into the stiffly beaten egg whites, beating constantly at high speed. Add the vanilla and continue to beat until mixture holds its shape, approximately 5 minutes. Stir in pecans.
Using 2 spoons, drop the divinity onto waxed paper, using 1 spoon to push the candy off the other. This may take a little practice because the technique is to twirl the pushing spoon, making the candy look like the top of a soft serve ice cream. If the candy becomes too stiff, add a few drops of hot water. You will need to work fast when making this type of candy. After you spoon the cooked sugar and nuts onto the waxed paper, you're done. Cool the candies on racks completely. You can store them in an airtight container for up to 2 weeks.

On December 4, 1981, President Ronald Reagan issued Executive Order 12333 on “United States Intelligence Activities.”
Section 2.11 of the order provides: “Prohibition on Assassination. No person employed by or acting on behalf of the United States Government shall engage in, or conspire to engage in, assassination.”
Section 2.12 of the order prohibits indirect participation in activities prohibited by the order, stating: “Indirect participation. No agency of the Intelligence Community shall participate in or request any person to undertake activities forbidden by this Order.”
E.O. 12333 is still in force. (Preceded by EO11905 2/19/1976)
