We're now evacuating Americans from Libya.....by boat :D.

It was noted on Monday that other diplomatic missions were having difficulty getting landing rights for their charter flights. So screw air, we're going by sea!

Whatever works...Godspeed!

Hopefully those skinnies aren't lurking in the waters.

I'd expect there is a US Naval presence nearby.

Lets call it. I'm going with Qaddafi will be dead by Monday. I think it will be suicide. The Guy is Nuts. It's pretty damm entertaining watching him talk.
Why is he only a Colonel. You think he would of promoted himself by now.

Looks like our first wave of evacuees have arrived in Malta after being stuck on the boat in Libya for two days due to high seas. I read elsewhere that one likely reason the administration has been dragging its feet on Libya is that so many American expats, including the 300 or so on this boat, were still in Libya and that we were afraid Qaddafi would take Americans hostage in retaliation for any involvement on our part. Looks like we're beginning to turn up the pressure, doubt it's a coincidence.

There are no generals in Libya, not since the coup.
