MADISON, Wis. (AP) - The Rev. Jesse Jackson has urged thousands of protesters in the Wisconsin Capitol to continue their stand against a sweeping anti-union bill that state Republicans are pushing.

Jackson made an unannounced appearance at the protests Friday afternoon. Protesters rushed to shake his hand or high-five him, and many shouted, "Thank you, Jesse."

Jackson told the protesters they were fighting for a just cause. He told them to hold strong to their principles and continue fighting to kill the bill. Then he led the masses in a rendition of "We Shall Overcome."

Gov. Scott Walker's bill would cut costs in part by eliminating collective-bargaining rights.

Jackson likened the protest to anti-government fights in Egypt and Tunisia. He says Wisconsin workers should be allowed at the table to help find a solution.

I hear that folks were not showing up to work today in Madison, WI...that's just not fair to the Reverend Jackson...given such circumstances everyone knows that the poor guy was baited.

Jesse's been trying to fill MLK's shoes for many years and has never made it past the smell test. (Except for perhaps his mistress problems)

He's not the new MLK, he's the old JJ, and he still sucks....

JJ is just proof that people see what they want to see, even when facts prove them wrong.

I'd like to meet Sharpton. He tears Hannity a new asshole every time he's on there-you can't help but like the guy.

But his politics suck(s).

As for Jackson-ever since I found out about him smearing MLK's blood on his shirt for a photo opportunity, I can't stand the sight of him.

Read: Shakedown: Exposing the Real Jesse Jackson

The author exposes Jesse Jackson's life and works, uncovering a sordid tale of greed, ambition, and corruption from a self-proclaimed minister who has no qualms about poisoning American race relations for personal gain.

Stay safe.

JJ and Sharpton are worse than parasites. They falsely lend credence to black Americans that their problems are still caused by racism. If black Americans would listen to Thomas Sowell and Walter O. Williams instead of Jesse Jackson and AL Sharpton, they would be much better off.

Tim Conway, Jr has a radio program in Los Angeles with a segment called, "What the hell did Jesse Jackson say?" He plays a garbled JJ sound bite and has people call in to guess what Jackson is trying to say...

Makes me sick to see JJ show up and say this is a MLK moment. This is NOT a Martin Luther King moment. This is a greedy and petulant bunch, something that MLK NEVER was, whom have taken to the streets to voice their displaced anger that their LAVISH benefits will be adjusted.

Scott Walker cannot get this done fast enough.:munchin;)

I still wonder what church they pastor from?...

Should that matter?

America has a long tradition of 'circuit riding' preachers who had no church but were faithful ministers...and also a long tradition of those who did have a church to 'pasor from' and are famous for their 'fleecing' of those congregations.
