That border area is just below our old camp and was always a point of conflict - we had Cambodia, NPD and Pitts had Laos, Lampang had Burma - we used to OpCon with RTA 7th Inf and BPP units when they ran 'training' ops along there on an on-going basis - as a point of order, all of Thailand's borders have always been on-going flash points. Some things don't change much.

My money is on the Thais. ;)

Interesting.

I understand that historically the Cambodians and Vietnamese have experienced their share of animosity also.
